The food tonight was amazing, cooked to perfection. Ladies night so the girls chose breaded mushrooms and then pan fried chicken breast with garlic hash brown, mushroom volute and cabbage, for dessert kumquat cheesecake. 3 courses for 2 for £25. The guys had prawn cocktail and black pudding starters with steak and ale and fish and chip mains. You must try the new menu

We were so pleased that we were lucky enough to find this fine establishment. A great pub with many beers to choose from. A traditional pub with a beer garden and plenty of seating. They also have a pool table! The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. On the first night we just went for a drink and ended up having a sharing platter which was different to the norm, very Italian and delicious. The waiter talked us through the different meats on offer and nothing was too much trouble. We went back on the second evening for a meal and had another warm welcome and an authentic Italian meal made with tasty, fresh ingredients. The salmon in the pasta dish was the best I've tasted and the pesto was so yummy. We had a salad dish with it which had a variety of seeds and caramelized apple and really fresh flavours. The menu is not extensive but there is a good variety and it caters well for veggies. The desserts were soooo good. Tiramisu was very nice (nicked a bit of hubby's!) and I had Italian ice cream with espresso poured over it. The coffee flavour was A1. There are few places were you can experience food like this and served with such a passion, like they really do care that you enjoy it. The young waitress with the red hair (sorry don't know her name) was delightful and full of enthusiasm for what the food she served. What a shame we live so far away :-( If we visit this area again, we will be back.Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review it makes all the hard work that bit more rewarding thanks again

Visited here with family. There is a reasonable choice of Thai and English food and we all enjoyed our meal.Prices reasonable and staff friendly.
