It serves as both the capital of the department of Chimaltenango and the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of the same name. Chimaltenango stands some 35 miles west of Guatemala City, on the Pan-American Highway. Fantastic rooftop terrace overlooking the city and volcanos. We actually visited three times in just two days. In the day for drinks and lunch and for drinks in the evening. Great live music in the evening. Three levels to the bar. Food was delicious.Wow... Thanks Molly, We appreciate the kind words. We hope to see you again next time you come through Antigua.
