On a hot day escaping the tumulus crowds of Perscoluse drive north past San Giovanni to just outside the next small town after Torre Mozzo. As unpretentious a little roadside BBQ. A mix of Spanish tapas, South Aftican brain within the context of finest Italian regional artisanal cooking. Relaxed mouth watering grilled vegetables and salads. A carnivore dream of finest local meats steaks, chops speciality local sausages wonderful kebabs. Words do not do justice to this cuisine. Choose your BBQ meats and salads and be dazzled with an extraordinary array of craft beer local wines and trust the staff the advice is perfection. Retire to the pavement overlooking the Ionian Sea and cliff shelves with a few locals who know how best to avoid the cost and throng in quiet beautiful peace of sun sea and fine food. They took us in hand described advised grilled and bbq,d after plying us with local Rose. Under the awning I am advised this hipster this astonishing good food and fantastic prices adorned by locals all the emphasis is on finest produce cooked to perfection on a hot lazy afternoon lunch. Do not be taken aback by plastic chairs or tables choosing from the counter this so good. The Phonogram is an English styled pub, quite unusual in this part of the world. They always have good music (live or playing on the sound system) and the bar staff are really friendly.Excellent selection of beer, spirits and cocktails.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di cenare qui durante un breve soggiorno in Salento. Al momento della prenotazione ci hanno chiesto di scegliere l'orario tra due turni; abbiamo capito che è un modo per organizzare meglio il lavoro ed avere più tempo da dedicare ai singoli tavoli. Abbiamo ordinato due diversi taglieri di formaggi e salumi della zona, verdure e friselle, puccia salentina una buona bottiglia di Negramaro e alla fine 2 spumoni e un piatto misto di tolci tipici. Ad ogni portata ci è stata accompagnata dalla descrizione e provenienza dele varie pietanze. Tutto veramente ottimo. Personale gentile e attento. rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente.

Il posto è carino, con i tavoli disposti all'aperto tra i palmizi e il mare bene in vista. Ho provato solo la pizza, che qui si prepara "al metro" e devo dire che sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Ottima cottura e condimenti abbondanti e di buona qualità .
