Been there for a business lunch. Ordered a couple of T-Bone steaks: meat tasted nice, side dishes were ok and you get right what you can expect from a place like this.It was funny they have just one T-Bone out of the two ordered and we were offered an other option, even bigger than the T-Bone (obviously more expensive): I mean, this was a business lunch, but if I were with my family I'd have been upset to pay more because they don't have what I ordered... Anyway, personnel is gentle and cheerful. Restaurant is located across from the Piramidi shopping mall. Prices ranged from 5 to 12 euros for a meal. Had a chicken and pseudo-French fries dinner. The menu had English and Italian (always a plus for me). It said that it was on the spicy side, but just seemed like a basic BBQ rub. (also preferable for me). The outside of the chicken was a little over-cooked/crispy, but the inside was fine. No issues with the table service; the waitress was prompt and the food was served fairly quickly. (Went at 7:15 pm on a weeknight) A reasonable "change of pace" place on a budget if you don't want pizza.

We were very impressed with our first visit here. The choice of different steaks was amazing. Though my personal favourite was the Patanegra. The staff were warm and friendly. The pastas also interesting. Yummy fries served with a great homemade bernaise sauce. If this restaurant was downtown Vicenza it would be difficult to make a reservation. But it is absolutely worth seeking it out when you are tired of the same old boring Bigoli d'anatra and Steak Tagliata served in every other Italian restaurant in Vicenza. Go there!

Went here with co-workers for lunch. The service was average as was the food. The beer menu of German selections was average as well. When our food did come to the table it was, like I said, very average and semi-authentic. Okay for a quick lunch. Wouldn't go there for dinner though.Hello Robert R, we don't agree with you on your definition of our food as "semi-authentic", since our ingredients are imported directly from their place of origin (mostly Sudtirol and Germany). And maybe you should come for dinner, because our selection of food and beers is wider. We look forward to see you again soon ;)

This lovely trattoria is located in Longare, some 10 km away from Vicenza. It proved to be worth the ride from Vicenza. Note that the restaurant has plenty of parking space.We were offered a table in the charming, older area of the restaurant, with a wood-beamed ceiling and a large stone fireplace. The trattoria offers large portions of local area dishes. As starter I took a lovely gnocchi al tartuffo nero dei colli and my wife went for a tagliolini ai funghi porcini. As main dish I opted for the tagliata di manzo alla ruccola, she took a petto di pollo. Both simple, but well prepared, tasteful dishes. The contorni di stagioni we ordered as a side dish appeared to be a three plate offering of vegetables, which was a bit too much I must admit.We finished our dinner with a nice tiramisu.Together with a quarter liter of red wine and a bottle of water, we paid .... ⬠61! That's what I call excellent value for the money.Conclusion: excellent address for a tasteful dinner when you're in Vicenza.

This restaurant kind of fell off our radar over the years--closed for renovation at one point, new owners at another...(but serving food since 1956!) Several of my friends had been there recently and enjoyed the food, so we thought we'd try it....great atmosphere--I had remembered only the fireplace--and delicious food! The tagliata melted in my mouth--Angus beef, well-prepared...and the fagottini alls pera was a pasta treat! The wine list was extensive--Erica, the sommelier, is wonderful! I felt so good about the restaurant that when it came time to organise a group dinner for 50+ people, that was my choice! (and it worked out beautifully!--group organizers, spend the extra 5 euro for the appetisers and mixed drinks!--Yummy mojitos and sangria!) Several people in the group have already returned for individual dinners...and this restaurant is definitely BACK on our radar! Outside dining is available in the summer, there is ample parking, there is a separate bar area, there is also an outside garden for appetizers, parties, weddings, etc. The restaurant is air-conditioned.
