The woman in the ferry terminal at Ishigakijima recommended this place if we were after meat. You would never find it otherwise. We were seated at a counter while the cooking took place before our very eyes: this is a teppanyaki place. We ordered Ishigaki tenderloin cooked very rare. The meal had delicious little starting morsels followed by soup and salad and vegetables but the beef was the star turn. I had never in my life had such melt-in-the-mouth delicious meat. A knockout. But Kobe beef is legendary and I dare say that those of you who are used to it wouldnât have found anything extraordinary here , but it was for me, at 74, my first experience. Washed down with a couple of beers and coffee and dessert the bill was over 10,000 yen a head, but very satisfying and performed with grace and charm. A memorable evening.

This could be a wonderful place to chill for a whole afternoon!The restaurant overlooks the beautiful sea. And it also has a lovely terrace where the customers may fully appreciate the view while dining.Foods and drinks are affordable. A scoop of ice cream costs 450 yen. That for a drink ranges from 400 to 700 yen.One more wonderful thing is: the waiters speak English!!

This seems to be a trendy restaurant in Ishigaki town centre amongst young people. Funny decoration, cow moos when you open the door. Has the best mix of Ishigaki beef, grilled by your own fair hand. No English menu, but chef is very helpful with selection. (got a bit of everything). Great way to discover Ishigaki beef! If you think Wagyu is good you haven't s anything yet.

This yakiniku restaurant, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, serves excellent Ishigaki beef, sliced just the right way for yakiniku. Served with a choice of three sauces, as well as ground garlic or Korean "ketchup", the beef grilled up very well. I had a plate that included lots of veggies as well.The only downsides of this place were the poor ventilation (the room quickly filled with smoke and grease) and inflexible staff who don't understand international standards for service.

I had lunch courses with my wife. The dining hall was spacious and it was good to relax. There were four types of lunch courses and their prices are varied at 1500, 2500, 4000 and 6000 JPY p.p. depending on the qualities of meats. I selected the course at 2500 JPY (21 USD) p.p. The meats included in my lunch course menu were OK but not so outstanding tastes. Overall, the meals and drinks of this restaurant were pricy. To be surprised, they are charging 200 JPY if we request to change the steel net where we grill the meats. I have never seen such barbecue restaurants in Japan, and I did not like this policy.

Try to reserve a table in advance, the restaurant replied it is full but ask us to try walk-in at 8:30pm. We arrived there and could get a table without waiting. Price of Wagyu is significantly higher than another restaurant we had wagyu the day before. Quality of wagyu is about the same but this place is more comfortable.

Went here for dinner after recommendation from our taxi driver. The restaurant is not so big, very nice, clean and comfortable to sit at. What makes this place so good is that meat! It is just totally amazing. The plan was to try Ishigaki beef and it was better than I could imagine. the price is also good so you will feel that you are getting very good quality food for a low priceâ¦..

We were staying at nearby hotel Beach Sunshine and luckily visited here for dinner and surely not let down. Service is nice and they can talk in English to ordering was nice n simple. Beef cuts were delicious and sauces/condiments served along with the meats were amazing. Loved the food and visited here both nights of our stay and was surely worth it. Location is nice as well, right besides the sea shore so must visit if your beef and Yakiniku fan.
