We have eaten at the Hickory House in Aspen and also Parker. One of our party had a salad with a side of fried catfish while one had a dish called the Protein Plate. Both thought their meals were tasty and excellent. I had the 1/2 barbecue chicken lunch special which I thought was over cooked and somewhat dry. Our server was friendly but the food was slow coming out of the kitchen. Based on prior trips we will go back here again.

We usually do take out from here but we decided to try the Mongolian Grill. That was a mistake. A very poor and limited selection of vegetables. There were numerous sauces, but they were so poorly labeled, we werenât sure which ones were what. Donât think about going into the bathroom. Very dated and worn out. There are way too many other good choices to eat Mongolian so we will likely not return, even for takeout.

So let me hear my negative thoughts out of the way. Omg the flies were annoying. I know they're flies but there were so many inside and they wouldn't leave us alone. They need to address this. Ok on the food. I ordered the combo with rice and macaroni salad. Enjoyed the entire thing. Wife ordered chicken katsu and she couldn't stop bragging how good it was. Daughter had ribs and loved them.

Two 3 meat (baby back and spare ribs with hot links) platters with beans and coleslaw. We also got 2 peach cobblers for dessert. Everything was very good. All of it came to $67 and change. Hubby and I ate almost all of it and we're both very full afterward. Very tasty. Hot links could have been spicer for my tastes but I like it hot!

Stopped in on a Groupon. Wood fired pizza and wings are great! Tried different sauces on the wings, beerBQ was the favorite. Many local beers on tap! Location has a nice bar areas as well as a space for large groups(12-60ppl). Corn hole is setup outside of the kitchen's wood fired oven. Games for the kids to play provided. Loads of tvs EVERYWHERE.
