We showed up after a long wet hike starving. The owner & his wife welcomed us in even though they had just closed. The chicken breast sandwich was amazing. My husband loved the ribs & my son enjoyed the pulled pork. The owner entertained us with bear stories while we waited for our food. We will return.

Great restaurant for BBQ. They have THE best tea in town. I had the unsweet and it was wonderful - ended up having 4 glasses of it. BBQ sandwich was really good. Green beans and fried corn also good. Rest of crew also enjoyed their meals. Except for mac & cheese - and from all the comments on here, maybe they need to revamp their recipe. I would definitely go back here next time I'm in town.

We loved this place. I didnât understand the negative comments about the building or decor. It was very appropriate for this kind of restaurant. Also, although the furniture may have looked dated, its condition was like new, and it was perfect for the setting. The food was great. I had the smoked trout and my wife had the broiled trout almandine. Both were excellent and the service was fast and friendly. Free parking across the street was unusual for most places in Gatlinburg.Thank You JohnrZ5398PY! Our building is old, one of the oldest in Gatlinburg. Even though we completely remodeled and updated our kitchen this past winter, we were asked from many of returning customers, not to change the theme of the dining area. We wanted to stick by our word, and kept it the same, but simply adding new touches. We truly appreciate you taking the time to give us a great review and even more, for eating with us. This place is off the parkway across from the convention center. The night we were in for dinner, the place was not very busy. They were playing an assorted format of music on the speakers. Alfredo was at the counter for us - and, as we reviewed the menu, he suggested we share the 4 entree item to try brisket, pulled pork, chicken and ribs. had usual sides of potato salad and slaw and both were home style and good. Try this place to save a couple $$$ and beat the crowds.
