Our extended family, in the area for about a week each summer, always plans one night out at the Silvercryst. And we always enjoy the food, the service, and the old-time atmosphere and decor.No matter when you go (but earlier is better), you will likely wait for a table. We like to bring a drink from the bar out back by the lake, where the grandkids play games and cover themselves with sand. The steaks, prime rib, and large pork chop are wonderful and my dad likes their salmon. We are particularly fond of the Silvercryst onion rings!FYI, it is advisable to order your salad dressing on the side.The kidsâ menu is more than adequate for the grandkids.

Live music on Friday night⦠Excellent fish fry⦠Not too greasy but on paper plates... good fries an awesome service.... I wish they had potato pancakes. Meanwhile you can only order an ice cream drink at the bar and there is no liquor in them and they are served and plastic cups with a plastic spoon .... not at all what is shown on their website! Had the ice cream drinks had liquor in them they wouldâve gotten a five star review.

Friendly local pub restaurant. Daily specials start at 5:00 and you can save some money if you do not want to eat earlier. Burgers are thick and juicy. Bar atmosphere. Bar stool seating, booths and tables for bigger groups. Busy in summers not so in winter.

We passed by The Trading Post several times on our way up to Nordic Mountain for a Bicycle Race! They had a large sign out by the road saying "Welcome Bikers!" that made us feel very welcome! We initally tried to have lunch at the Heath Farm Market, but they were closing, and so we made the drive back up the Trading Post. I am SOOOooo Happy we did! We found a new favorite place to have lunch in Wautoma! My daughter loved the building and all the rustic decorations. The architecture of the building and the furniture are to die for!!! One would expect to see this in a large resort town up North or Out West! Stunningly Beautiful! Plenty of TVs for anyone wanting to watch sports. Wonderful outdoor patios and decks to eat on if you would like to dine outside. The large totem poles at the entry are incredible. We were there for the Sunday broasted chicken dinner special...seriously this was probably the BEST broasted chicken I have ever had in my life! It was awesome! Even my 7 year old liked it. Real mashed potatoes with REAL gravy. Tasty Colesaw. The price was fantastic ...the three of us had 4 piece chicken dinners x 3 + drinks for less than $25!!! (And we had enough chicken left over for another whole meal!!!) Our server was very nice and very attentive. Everyone in the place seemed to be enjoying their food immensely. Can't wait to come back. Will DEFINITELY eat here again!

We stop here if we are going 4 wheeling early in the orning for breakfast, food is always Hot and Good. They also have a good lunch menu.
