We had burgers here and they were quite poor quality. Very thin with too much sauce. Couldn't find the cheese. The plate was full of French fries. Disappointed as went on the trip advisor reviews. The southern comfort and lemonade was good though.Hallo lieber Gast,es tut uns leid ,dass es bei ihrem Besuch Grund zu Beanstandung gab.Es wäre besser gewesen, wenn Sie uns direkt darauf hingewiessen hätten, dass mit ihrem Essen etwas nicht in Ordnung ist, so hätten wir sofort drauf reagieren können.Aber da ich bei ihnen am Tisch öfters war, sagten sie das alles in Ordnung ist !!!Um so schlimmer finde ich dann die Bewertung jetzt hier , und vor allem sich zu beschweren das es zu viel Pommes waren finde ich leicht übertrieben , das der Burger Ihnen nicht geschmeckt hat ist Geschmackssache , tut uns leid das wir ihren Geschmack in dem fall nicht getroffen haben .Wir würden uns wünschen wenn sie beim nächsten besuch egal im welchem Restaurant es gleich Ansprechen wenn irgend etwas nicht stimmt , bevor sie so eine Bewertung abgeben.Mit Freundlichen GrüÃen

My wife and I were staying locally (just across the river at the Best Western Plus Fussen), so took a walk throught he town to enjoy a drink with view here. Well worth it! A lovely location and genuinely warm service from the host, Laura!

We stayed at the hotel and decided to give the restaurant a try instead of driving into town, and were glad we did. The service was very friendly and helpful. Good beverages and good variety on the menu. Very good entrees. A shared dessert went fast.

So much fun and fantastic food! Stayed there for hours eating and drinking, sat outside with a great view of the mountains and the castle. There was an awesome local band playing who bought us shots. Staff spoke English with great recommendations and there was a part of the menu in English. Food was amazing and the beers were even better. Needless to say we were sad to leave.

No idea where the owners had been drinking in Scotland and Ireland, but if, as they claim, their own version of a typical pub is based on experience, they must have visited some pretty dire establishments. OK, it was off season, but the place smells faintly of disinfectant, has the worst choice in folk music one can imagine (think Sex Pistols meets The Dubliners, all sung in German), and apart from a friendly if slightly wacky barman, the other staff were surly at best, and just plain rude at worst. It is family run, and the woman behind the bar runs the hotel next door. Dollar signs in her eyes, and her heart is just not in it. She couldn't really give a flying fig. Menu confined to iffy looking burgers and fries. I repaired to the excellent bar in the Hotel am Hopfensee.

this cafe is right across the street from a lovely lake with views of the alps. service is prompt and food is tasty.
