My family recently went out to celebrate my sister's birthday. We were visiting Pottsville and this tavern was close to our hotel. It was perfect. The menu had something for everyone with choices from pub snacks to entrees. There was live music that night was a nice surprise. We would definitely go back for more.

We were there for a 50th wedding anniversary gathering on a Saturday evening. There were few other customers besides our table of 9. Service was fair, as the waitress didn't seem accustomed to waiting on a group. Those who ordered the Italian dishes were pleased; those who ordered veal, prime rib, etc. found the dishes to be thoroughly mediocre, though the portions were good. It was an OK experience, but if you go, steer toward the Italian dishes.

I think the best part of this place is the smoker. Wings are good, beer is priced right, owner is very friendly, but the smoked stuff is the best!

Is this place open or closed? I am assuming this is the place in the Ramada, which I thought was closed. You would have to park in the lot near Rt 61 and it would be a bit of a walk especially for old folks or disabled. Last I saw it was an attempt at an upper scale steak house.We are upper scale just excellently done cook to order steaks, seafood, burgers, chicken and chops at 661 N. Centre St a if tan building.

This place was so bad that it was worth the stop just to experience how bad bad could be. Something to aspire to. After waiting for 45 minutes for our food we were informed that they had out of barbecue, something they didn't know 45 minutes earlier. So there sat with the other discontented and confused customers. I count this as good fortune, though I was curious as to what atrocities Pennsylvanians could commit in the name of BBQ. I wonder what their real business is?
