Visited here for a drink on our way to dinnerFunky setup downstairs in basement. A lot of thought has been put into this place and it has a great vibe.Enter via the phone box entrance...we had a little trouble spotting it.Disappointed we didnât stay for some pizza as it smelt amazing!

Steve's pub will raise fond memories with the generations of students from the University of Western Australia (UWA) who celebrated the end of exams, graduations and so on at Steve's. The McHenry family still runs the pub but Steve' s has moved upmarket, from meat pies with sauce to pan seared gnocchi and spiced free range chicken. Drinkers are still welcome but Steve's is more of a wining and dining sort of place these days. The menu tends towards the exotic but the meals taste good.

As far as bars go there aren't many open during lunch on a Sunday in the city. We eventually made our way to Shafto Lane and found Durty Nellys to be open. This is a great Irish Pub in the heart of the city. It's actually on the west side of the city. The pub is traditional and a welcoming hideaway amongst the urban city. It has a verandah seating as well as inside table seating. They have TVs showing sports throughout. We had a great meal for a decent price. They also had good prices for their drinks. It made for a comfortable and enjoyable lunch in the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved it and definitely a place to go back to. I had two meals here at Adelphi, the Kangaroo fillet (which was phenomenal) and the seafood platter (which I am biased, seafood is my favourite).Both dishes were extremely well presented, cooked to absolute perfection and the price of each meal was spot on, what I paid for to what i received was amazing. The serving staff were super efficient and friendly, very quick to make sure that you have been looked after and that everything was up to standard. They even liked to chat about what my stay was for etc. The whole time they were laughing amongst each other, having fun at work, which is good to see. I'll be back at this restaurant for sure. A great place to try the wild game of Australia. We tried the Jack's game platter and got to sample kangaroo, wild boar, buffalo (different from American buffalo), crocodile, camel, and emu. And you can try steaks or other dishes with those meats. And the beef steaks were amazing. Seafood options are plenty too; Wife tried the barramundi and that was also delicious! Bigger selection of beers than most Australian restaurants. Try the local Western Australia beers on tap.

If you are looking for a good or excellent steak if you are a wine lover Sentinel is your place. Large wine list Australian of course but others as well. The beef is very tender and tasty. On the negative side extremely noisy which means that clients are happy and a dining room not to be remembered except for the numerous wine bottles on the walls.

Many variety of burgers to choose. I tried Mcfly, a spicy double patty burger with jalapeno & crunchy onion ring. Nice! All burgers and hotdogs come with generous chips. It also a bar serving beers on tap, cocktails & spirits. Big TV screen showing sport channel. Few game machines. Very much alive during Saturday lunch time.
