Found this tiny bar by accident and went there every night during our short stay in Vila Cha. Tapas Portugese food which was reasonably priced and very popular. Lots of locals using the bar. Great location by the sea.

the most famous dishes here are the "cachorros" and "francesinhas". I can't say that was the best "francesinha" I ever had, in fact, it is far from that award. Although it wasn't bad, the francesinhas is served with a special bread and the sauce is different than usual, first bit is strange but then you enjoy it.The price is also reasonable, and one big PRO are the fries, real potato not frozen.The downside is the decor and organization, the restaurant need urgently some renovation, it looks old and dirty and messy. You can see at some corner boxes and plastic bags full of things. not the most pleasant image to a restaurant, we don't expect to have a meal at a storage warehouse.

Recommended by a local for âvalue and classic regional seafoodâ and boy we scored. The Dourade and Bass were absolutely wonderful complimented with jacket potatoes and local stir fried shredded vegetables. Including beers and wines less than 30euro in a lovely atmosphere, staff were also wonderful. Highly recommend if you are doing the Portuguese coastal Camino between Lisbon and Santiago de Compostela and planing a stop in Povoa Varzim Muito obrigado pelo seu comentário.
