Being from the UK I’ve really missed my local micro pub and brewery. So, it was soooooo nice to discover Triggerfish! The place is so authentic and genuine. No pretentious trendy crap like other places in town. The beer is super good and tasty and there’s a decent amount to choose from. Absolutely love the industrial, solid feel to the building. We shared a big plate of chips too which were amazing!! Perfect to wash the beer down with. Highly recommend this place for true beer/ale lovers who want to relax with some tasty beers and good music.

I had a business meeting there. I can see why families love it as there is an amazing outdoor area with splash pool, lawn and jungles gyms and what not for the kiddies. I was also super pleased that when we ordered coffee, I could get Almond milk! (R30 for cappuccino, regular size). The staff were quite attentive but also left us to talk which was great. After, we were joined by a third person and decided to have breakfast. My companions had the eggs benedict and and the sunny side up breakfast and said it was good. I had a plate of items selected off the menu that I could eat (vegan). These were run up separately, so my breakfast became super expensive. Avo at R27, Mushroom at R17, Bread at R10 - well, you get the picture.... The bread was plain old bought white bread and so my plate did not look as appetising as it could have, but nothing wrong with flavour. My rating down is that we were plagued by flies! They were in your face and all around you whilst eating. We moved inside, thinking that may help but it made no difference and inside, has absolutely no atmosphere... so, disappointing but not awful.

A very rustic restaurant and pub just out of town. Not a spot you will find – or go to easily, but friends recommended this and we had to investigate. Small inside seating area with a larger outside (under cover) area. Great selection of local and imported beers on tap. Jovial atmosphere with live music. Although we did not have a meal, the food looked great and we will definitely be back to try the Eisbein and some of the other German dishes on offer.

We visited this restaurant not having seen any reviews. The service was good considering it was busy and there was only one waiter but we found it reasonably priced. It’s over the road from the beach and has good views and a nice buzz with the bonus of an entertainer on Saturday lunch we both ordered fish one with chips and one with veg and had no problems with our food. Well presented served hot and tasty we would have no problem returning we finished off with a waffle and ice cream. Yum

Very disappointing is putting it mildly. Portions are small for the prices charged. No thought given to presentation. Smokers get the best tables! My husband had ribs and is still ill 24 hours later. Never ever again! You’ve got the location now pull up your socks and give the service it deserves.

The Grille Shack at Pit Stop on the mouth of the Steenbras River on Clarence Drive between Gordon's Bay and Kogelbaai (famous Surf spot) is just the place to replenish. You can either stop for good coffee, a light meal or something more substantial. The food is good, especially the fish & chips as well as excellent Burgers.The restaurant is situated in probably one of the most scenic parts of South Africa, framed by the Steenbras mountains, False Bay and the Steenbras River, fynbos flaura and lots of fresh air. Service is friendly, good and professional.

Great tasting food and the service by our waitress Nici was awesome. The inside needs a refresh or coat of paint. Owner could be more friendly and drinks pricing more visible. Definitely will be back in future for the tasty food. Hopefully Nici will still be there.

Never had a bad experience at this gem overlooking the yacht basin and harbour. The most amazing views and sunsets. The food is always great as is the vibe. Definitely worth return visits.
