Familiäre Gastlichkeit, regionale Erzeugnisse, geschmackvoll Speisen und stilvoll logieren in idyllischer Seelage. Restaurant & Ferienwohnungen.
We recently had dinner at the Brunnwirt and expected a more local, traditional restaurant, but were unexpectedly treated to a divine gourmet dinner....The space is very pretty, only eight tables in a decent size space. I liked that each table had enough space to be sufficiently private. The design is local traditional and looks great. They offer two five course menus, dishes can be changed, moved around or selected individually. We were very impressed by everything that came from the kitchen from the amuse (pickled herring), the ravioli (containing a soft egg yoke, I must admit I have never seen anything like this and it was DELICIOUS), the perfectly cooked lamb (the flavor was incredible) to the bouillabaisse, the veal fillet and dessert. The wine list was extensive and well priced, we selected an amazing Austrian wine that worked very well with the food.Service was very friendly and unintrusive, and still available and attentive. Perfect. As it was my birthday, they also sent a freshly baked cake, which was super nice and unexpected. Overall, we will be back for sure!

This restaurant has been highly rated by many experienced reviewers and we were eager to check it out. We too are foodies and you may have seen my reviews of restaurants from many countries over the world. This one provided a Lovely setting, superb service, but was without a doubt overly pretentious. The setting down of a once used fork or empty plate resulted in the arrival of two wait persons, who swiftly carried away the evidence. Similarly, all new plates seemed to require two people for delivery. The amuse-bouche, the cleansing courses, the beautiful artistry of each plate , and superb flavors were wonderful. However the waits between courses became aggravatingly slow and the $6.50 charge for what appeared to be tap water in a clear bottle seemed a little over the top. Serving sizes were much less than the photos show--my deer calf loin consisted of two 50 cent size pieces of meat atop a 1/4" inch deep smear of mashed potatoes--ahhh, but with the most delicious cherry sauce imaginable; my husband's order of steak was again wonderful, but miniscule. Artistry seems most important-. One of the menu items included a tiny 1" clay flower pot, filled with something like strawberry sorbet, and had a tiny little white flower planted in it. Many of the plates had a design of spread food decorated with created red or green berries or flowers which had been made of crushed red fruit or green peas or some other appropriately colored item. We had opted for the five-course fixed price menu, but the menu itself was confusing with each item individually priced as well as totaled. My lone gin and tonic was priced at $14 for the gin,$3.70 for the tonic water, The food itself could not have been better. At the end of two hours, tired and maybe a bit jet-lagged, we called a halt to it, opted out of the desert (which I will forever regret), paid our $226.70 Euro bill and escaped. If you are very patient and want to enjoy a lot of theater with your food, this might be the place--overall, it seemed to me like a food farce, an unnecessary exaggeration of dining and maybe a bit like a Barbie Doll Tea party.
The Kirchenwirt, in the picture-perfect village of Leogang, was documented as early as the year 1326, making it the oldest inn of Salzburg province.
Just dropped at the train station by the family that owns / runs the hotel. Others in the group received lunch bags for their Pre-breakfast time / early departure. Hotel and setting is exceptional. Excellent restaurant in the hotel. Leogang full of things to do in the summer. Imagine winter is great. Highly recommend the hotel. Would love to return sometime.

The Austrian â Hungarian taste empire is back in town! Let me tell you our story⦠Our family comes from Hungary. A Hungarian family living in Austria. What would everybody say? They would say, that we are simply typical foreigners. But here comes our spin
I have pleasure in commending this enthusiastic team of Hungarians who show an example in this area of how to welcome guests, service with a smile and deliver a very appetising meal. Although we only ordered two different salads, nonetheless quality was very good. As someone who relishes enjoying good Austrian wine, their Blau Frankish Holzner, by the glass was excellent. If you are travelling between Salzburg and Bad Ischl, I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant , certainly we shall revisit again.Thank you william! We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your meal and Gimsenwirt and the Gimsenwirt experience :DThe Gimsenwirt Team is looking forward to serving you again.

While staying at the nearby Schloss-Fuschl (which is AMAZING) we wanted a comfortable place for dinner that felt "local". This was definitely it! Plenty of classic Austrian food dishes and other options. There was an English-language menu for us, but it did feel very non-touristy. Lots of locals having dinner. Servers were friendly and accommodating, even though there was a little bit of a language barrier. If we'd had more time nearby we'd definitely have come back again for another meal!

My Hallein hosts took me to Bramsau-Brau for my first visit there. It was a beautiful setting overlooking mountains and meadows. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air and ambience of the outdoors setting. The beer was outstanding, our meals were quite tasty and the service was primo! The people there were very welcoming and helpful. The premises was quite clean and new. I truly enjoyed this wonderful afternoon. Thank you for the outstanding day.

We had buffet breakfasts and dinner (so maybe this review is a little of topic), but the food was good. They had a massive breakfast buffet with all sorts of options. The seating is nice, and the patio has a wonderful view.

May I be allowed to say- "vaut le detour".

Hotel restaurant located within the grounds of Schloss Fuschl Hotel. This two-toque awarded restaurant specializes in French-Austrian Gourmet Cuisine and is characterized by the high quality of its regional products and its outstanding service. The fusion
This is a review for the bar restaurant and the breakfast buffet. We ate dinner at the bar restaurant one evening and ordered room service another evening. In my opinion the menu is large enough to have a few of your meals at the hotel while still having different options. It was nice to have a quiet night close to the room so we didnât have to travel for dinner. Staff was excellent and even my complicated orders were handled. Recommend the different types of fish and also the cream tomato soup with pine nuts! Breakfast buffet is expansive and morning staff is great. Dear picolovespizza, thank you so much for taking the time and for sharing your highly appreciated feedback with us on Tripadvisor. What a wonderful comment! We are thrilled you enjoyed a splendid time in our Schloss Bar and gladly share your feedback with the entire team. We hope to be able to welcoming you back in the not too distant future. With best regards,Christine Harda
