Stopped in for brunch this morning (Sunday). There is a good selection available for breakfast and lunch. We had the beef burger with wedges. The ingredients were fresh, the tomato relish excellent and the favourite item was definitely the wedges. Enjoyed our meal, the coffee and had good service. Will come again.

Excellent food, coffee and service. We had the deluxe and cafe cornerstoner breakfast. Both were cooked perfectly and especially like the srooms (spinach and mushrooms together) and the crispy proscuitto on mine. I'm not a big coffee drinker but it was lovely and both the young chef and the young girl who served us were very accommodating. I have told all my friends and we will definitely be going back.

Dined here last night for a Birthday dinner ,family group of 17 of us consisting of various ages. Overall the food and atmosphere wasn't bad . Bearing in mind we have eaten here many times previously when it was under the old management. Also knowing this is a casual restaurant with pub style meals . Main issues last night , All meals took absolutely ages to be served ,with many at our table commenting you wouldn't want to be starving all the while noting that not all the tables were even occupied ! As you order at the bar and pay this aspect is great saving the dramas of bill splitting for a large group at the end of the evening .Service was pretty much a let down ,the girl serving meals coming to the table standing at the end quietly announcing what she was serving in a rowdy restaurant .Each and every time it was someone at our table relaying at a bigger voice what she was serving .She made zero effort to smile or interact with anyone at our table . At the end of dinner we had to pile up the plates ourselves in order to have the birthday cake, the girl had started to remove 3 of them but then decided to move on to doing something elsewhere in a now empty restaurant . As she had asked previously how was everything ,When she did return to the table to continue clearing we politely informed her that the food was good however could she please convey to the chef or her boss that 3 of the dinners which were the Veal Scallopini were very underwhelming ,all 3 of us who ordered it found the veal virtually inedible. It was dry and tough .Pretty much overcooked to boot ! We were all quite certain we were not even served veal ,more it was a cheap minute steak !When we said this to the girl she barely acknowledged it and walked off ,that was it. We left soon after with all the staff seeing us leave and not one goodbye ,thanks for coming ,see you again . The previous owner may have had his share of complaints on various issues at this restaurant but he always made his way around the tables ensuring all was well ,the wait staff were heaps better as well .They actually interacted with you and seemed to enjoy their job ! It never ceases to amaze me why restaurant managers employ young staff who clearly have zero people skills and don't seem to give a rats a..s about their job . Not in a rush to head back there ,which is a real shame as they could really be so much better and a perfect place for local families to dine . They need to pull their sox up in the service area and actually eat the meals they offer on the menu on occasion to judge if they are worthy of serving or not as well !

Stayed at the hotel so thought we would try the hotel restaurant on our first night. Staff very helpful and attentive but it wasn't busy. The menu is very small and limited but the food was very good. I had the veal, polenta mash and mushrooms; hubby had the beef brisket with red wine jus, and a side order of steamed veg which was needed as the main didn't come with any veg thus making it slightly expensive. Both of us had a glass of wine each but what i wanted was not available the wine list only had a few wines available in glass. Dessert menu was ok we had the cheesecake but costco cheesecake is better and a lot tastier. You don't get value for money but the food was nice.Hi Lcmw2013, Firstly thank you for your review! We always value and take on board guest feedback- We rely on this to grow and develop our restaurant. I apologize the wine you wanted was not available- we are in the middle of transitioning our list which will showcase some really great Australian wines and local products. Hopefully if we see you return- you will find something that you likeHave a lovely day! Grace Slade Assistant Food & Beverage Services Manager

We had the breakfast bruschetta and the bacon and egg roll on brioche and both were beautifully presented and delicious. The coffee was hit and miss. Mine was very weak while my partner’s was full bodied. No toilets - closest is at the museum if it’s opened or 2 blocks away at the end of the mall/arcade on George street. Picturesque and great service. thanks for your review. Sorry about your coffee, its not usually this way. If your ever in the area again, please let us know and we will make you another free of charge

Simon's Cafe

The most popular cafe in Windsor! Open 7 days a week, serving breakfast and lunch, this cafe offers amazing food, great portions, have super friendly staff who are very versatile to meet customer needs and is dog-friendly. What more could you ask for!

Had both a lunch and a breakfast here over a weekend, and both were very good. As has been mentioned before, this is a very popular cafe in the Windsor strip and booking would be helpful. They do hire lots of staff though for the peak period, so service is pretty good. Toilets are available at the rear of the cafe.

Wow, the burgers at this place are to die for. Cooked to order and so many choices, they have so much flavour, unlike the hamburger chains. Chips are nice big thick cut style so they have some substance when you actually eat them.***Take some wet-wipes with you.***They have plenty of serviettes available, but the burgers are sooo juicy, wet-wipes will make cleaning up much easier. Alternatively you could use the knives and forks available, but there's nothing better than biting into a juicy burger. They have a burger style to suit just about everyone, starting with basic sized burgers (which still have more than your average) right up to humongous creations that look like you would need an army to conquer. They only have a couple of tables inside, but have a covered area out the front with tables and chairs and there is a small park across the road, so plenty of areas to chow down. There are a number of other fast food outlets next door, so if you have one person in your party that doesn't want burgers, they should be able to find an alternative.
