> Anybody who is travelling to Srinagar and staying around Dal Gate, must try and visit this nice restaurant located right in front of Dal Lake (on Boulevard Road)> My personal recommendation : Paneer-Pyaaz mix prantha with butter. Tried their Dal Makhani also, it was nice too.> Very polite & humble people, unlike what you normally see in Srinagar> Food has Punjabi taste to it and is served hot straight from the kitchen

Enjoyed quite a few meals at Chinar restaurant during my stay at Lalit. Having breakfast in the garden area under the sky, surrounded by mountains was such a wow moment.The food was delicious and the staff were courteous. Service was extraordinary as well. Must try!

Clean and decent ambience. They have separate place for vegetarians and non vegetarians. They have a bar also which is separate.The Wazwan dish taste really good. Itâs almost same as that of authentic food in Kashmir. Staff is nice. A very clean and well maintained place by govt. A must try for non vegetarians if you want to have wazwan and a perfect decent place for family to go and enjoy the food.. Kahwa was also nice. The rates are also very average.

Had early dinner at this simple but charming place and couldnât fault the food that consisted of biryani rice and shitaki mushroom chicken. The garlic cheese naan bread also very nice and served hot.The staff very pleasant and attentive without being over the top - reasonable prices to compliment a very enjoyable meal and suggest this place would be the equal of anything else in Srinagar if not the bestHighly tecommended

Visited this restaurant on recommendation of a friend. However found this an average place. Few things need immediate attention of owner. I had to wait for nearly 15+ minutes before someone came to take order. Since I was alone, ordered for one plate of Mutton Biryani. Which took another 7-8 minutes and when he brought it, I was shocked to see the huge size of the "one plate". It was good for 2 and I could finish it in next 60-70 minutes! The preparation had excessive oil and meat pieces were not tender as I expected. I hope if the promoters are made aware of this feedback.

Hi ITC FAMILY :)Please Allow me to mark my feedback...I travelled with my family. Stayed after a long time with ITC Fortune family. Chef Imtiyaz offered a Lavish fishes. Chef Imtiyaz and his Entire team was rocking. Start from check-in till Check-out everything was amazing. Once again special thanks for ITC family and Chef Imtiyaz. will visit again soon and will recommend to my family and friends.

Terrible over cooked food. The tandoori chicken was burnt to a crisp, the garlic naan bread fat undercooked and no flavour or any taste of garlic. The mutton biryani was advertised as biryani but the rice was a tomato sauce based pulao rice (which was listed separately on the menu) The mutton was as tough as old boots and a totally poor biryani rice. One of the worst restaurants in India and by far the worst experienced in Kashmir.Unbelievably there were â Trip Advisor â creditations framed on the wall staying what a great restaurant this is together with a four and a half star rating !Your joking whoâs paying money to obtain this rating ! It should be removed forthwithNeedless to say - donât come to this place for dinner when in Srinagar - better off with street food

Homely food , no fuss environment and addictive paranthas - value for money . Mornings are packed but worth the wait . The tea is wanting due to the readymix and does not necessarily mact the home-style traditional chai but Krishna is a preferred address for my stop . Irresistible !
