Wonderful Airport outlet of the Fukuoka Tenjin Downtown original. Staff friendly and individual booths for private (solo) eating just like home. Ramen broth is thick and yummy as well as the best Roast Pork. Enjoy extras and Egg addon. Good luck and enjoy your safe flights!

We had the pleasure to enjoyed lunch at Shin Shin Ramen at the Hakata Station when visiting Fukuoka during the Chinese New Year Holidays. I had the Shin Shin Ramen with a small bowl of fried rice, the noodles and soup was tasty as well as the fried rice! Will definitely recommend the place to you ;)

After a 50 minutes line up we were fully satisfied that the wait well deserved. The noodle has prominent wheat favour and cooked al dente, the sliced pork has fresh strong favour unlike sometime your ramen pork could be cold, fatty or tasteless. The soup is favourful but not heavy. The bite size gyoza were freshly cooked and yummy. The table and seating are very spacious among its peer ramen shop. I certainly shall make this one stop on my next trip back to Fukuoka.

This is a wagyu sukiyaki or shabu shabu restaurant that is renowned for its excellent quality and service situated in the heart of Hakata. It serves 4 grades of wagyu beef that is mainly beef shoulder with lots of petite appetisers. The waitress will cook all your sukiyaki beef in front of you and guide you through the course to proper tasting of this dish. The service is exceptional and you are utterly felt most welcome in this traditional restaurant as a foreigner.

Hands down, hand on heart the bestest best unagi I have ever had. So yummy! Perfectly seasoned and grilled to a slight crisp. Do yourself a favour and order at least 4 pieces. There is no difference between the different options for the unagi. Either go for the donburi (bowl) with the eel served on rice or the kabayaki which serves the eel separately. As many have stated, they accept only cash. Ambience is peaceful and comfortable. Western seating in a traditional setting. This will be my must go eat in Fukuoka!

Ippudo, our ramen restaurant, was first established in 1985 in Hakata, Fukuoka. Currently in 2017, we have over 100 stores throughout Japan. In 1990, our founder, Shigemi Kawahara, entered the Hall of Fame for winning the the ramen competition of the show
Bit more expensive than most ramen restaurants and probably not worth going out of the way for...but it's still great ramen and its convenient location in Hakata station was perfect as we had an hour to kill between trains...the staff were friendly and all spoke pretty good English...
