We had dinner at this small but quaint little restaurant. The staff was very helpful in deciding the menu. The food - Tex Mex Chicken Sizzlers, Chicken Pasta and Tandoori Non veg platter was very well prepared and tasty. Bira was out of the world. Would come again for this food next time I am in Pondi !

Fantastic place for good South Indian food. Had several times during my 10 days stay in Pondy. Consistently satisfied me who is an hardcore South Indian foodie. Had masala dosa, poori masala, parotta kurma, thavala vadai, special vadai, sambar vadai, ghee toast dosa, etc. all tasted authentic and good.My daughter had aloo paratha and veg noodles, which were equally fantastic. But for few mosquitoes flying over our head distracting us from enjoying our food, there is nothing I could complain here. Last visiting Pondy in 2005 when we used to enjoy food at main surguru hotel. Happy to see they maintaining the quality and expanded further.

As usual like any other A2B across Chennai/TN, this place is a Minimum guarantee food for south Indian delicacies. We had dinner and some snacks - all were good and no complaints. There is self service area in the ground floor and AC restaurant in the first floor.Parking is a puzzle with limitations to space. The Restaurant is just near Manakula Vinayagar temple.

Well the light house is primarily the roof top restaurant of promenade hotel which I have already reviewed. The food here is primarily asian. The restaurant houses a bar that serves awesome cocktails from 5 pm onwards food is served from 7 pm onwards. The staff I've found to be extremely helpful. It also has an outdoor dining area overlooking the ocean. The view of goubert avenue or the promenade is superb. The cuisine is extremely good and the ambiance is heavenly.this hotel is owned by the way by Mr Dilip Kapur who also owns hidesign the boutique leather brand.

Nice place to have dinner with family. Ambiance and preparations were good. Only thing one should be careful in ordering north Indian dishes, we experienced that the Mughlai Chicken was no where near a Mughlai dish. Rest dishes were prepared and served well.

Reading the reviews, I had great expectations from the place but was disappointed that it was not upto the mark. The south Indian food was very average and the North Indian food was not done well at all. I would avoid this place and try something else instead

Went for a dinner. Food is good. Their special menu is interesting. Though the prices are on the higher side. The service staff is courteous and prompt but are always in a hurry to ask for the next order. Their cauliflower dosa, wheat paratha, stuffed ceylone paratha were good. Surely worth a visit for those who like vegetarian food.

Hi,If u visit Pondy, and looking for chettinad authentic restaurant then ur only choice is Kamatchi Hotel bcoz u cant find anyother better restaurant in Pondy than this. As Iâm a frequent visitor to Pondy, I have tried to find several restaurants in Pondy. But mostly I failed or the one which I found is not satisfying me.But the only hotel which never spoil my expectation is Kamatchi Hotel. They have 3 branches inside Pondy but I always prefers to goto there main branch in Kadalur Road. If u go on weekends, u have to wait for minimum 15 mins to get seat. That tells u the food they serve.I recommend u to taste Nattu Kozhi Briyani & Prawn Briyani. If its main course, then u can try Prawn Kamatchi, Chicken Kamatchi & Mutton Chukka.They are best & trying hard to maintain there quality.
