Of the same milieu/owner as Chin Chin and Hawker Hall, Kong is amazing. While the food at each is beautiful and individual, the thing that stands out here is the service. On arrival, we had two attentive - and beautiful- waitresses - fussing over our very need immediately. What a pleasure. The fitout here is outstanding: it’s an old fire station so relevant pipes and taps are incorporated into the visual offering. Food arrived quickly, and was just superb. Prawn and scallops dumplings, chicken bao and a special broccoli Asian style. Mixed with special - really special - fried rice, and this place is a “go to” venue. Great and simple wine list. Try here. Fantastic.

Been here many times. Once a week or forthnight. Although, I must admit I paid cash all the time. Tonight, I was so shocked when my friend used her Visa card to pay for a $148 meal. When my friend used her card to pay, fortunately she realised the total amount was different. It states $172. $22 was added as TIP without telling the customer. How in earth can this restaurant use their own discretion to add a sum n not tell the customer. The waiter wasn’t happy when asked to delete the $22 TIP. It’s only right for a customer to decide what is a reasonable tip to include depending on the service we received. You don’t call the shots. For customers dinning here. Look out for such unethical act by this restaurant. My Friend is upset and wow to boycott this restaurant forever.I am also a regular and fell disappointed devastated by what the restaurant did. Sorry .... you lost my business too.First of all, we thank you and value all our customers feedback. To say that our staff was trying to cheat on the tips and unethical is definitely unfair and unjustifiable. We usually let customers punch in the tips amount themselves while we also notice that customers often punch in their PIN number in the tips section, and only realise once they see the total amount. In this case, we are more than happy to cancel the whole transaction and start all over again. However, we will definitely communicate this to all our staff to ensure that all payments are processed with extra care.

A Fine Dining Indian Restaurant very close to heart of the city. A perfect place to enjoy the ambience and the food with an extensive wine list
Are you in search of Indian restaurant, located amid soul of the city ? Relax to rejuvenate... Junoon is an attraction for Aussies and Indian food lovers... well built interior and trained stewards, interactive chef Guruvansh are the added value to the restaurant... you can design your food...Talk to the chef and Rajan the proprietor who will match your expectations..it was a pleasant encounter to dine at the Indian restaurant while Aussies claim that their palates are trained by the cuisines with a little manipulation of ingredients that suit them .. when friends like kaur and Sai host dinner it is more tastier because your wallet is safeInstead of entering into manu card call the chef tell you what the biography of the pallet and he will design Starters and main course..be a veg or non veg ...The management is open for ideas and take note of it to sell tea made of jaggery and ginger a healthy post lunch / dinner top up drink..try ...you will not be disappointed..Bon Appetit

Housed in an historic turn-of-the-century horse stable, Hawker Hall is our representation of a food and beer hall that takes its inspiration from the vibrant hawker centres of Singapore & Malaysia. Our food is inspired by the vibrant street-food culture o
We stopped by for lunch and were disappointed with the experience. The space is stylish and spacious and service was okay but the food was average, over priced and poor value. The portion sizes were minuscule. I understand they are share plates but the the amount of food in each dish was tiny. There are so many places that you get twice the amount of (better quality) food at half the price. The dishes we did try were fine but nothing special. Poor value for money and trading on hype that is unwarranted.

Food was good, ambience is comfortable and service was awesome! What makes us comfortable the minute we stepped in restaurant is the service, the staff are well trained and courteous. I have no complaints on the food , the presentation was great and portion was reasonable on the hind side the price was slightly stiff on certain items. Nevertheless, the service overcome the stiff price. Did not try the dessert as we felt it is western and could be too strong on sweetness.

The food is without doubt excellent and really well presented and we had a really enjoyable evening. However I found the service to be efficient rather than friendly – its almost complacent to the extent that I felt we were doing them a favour by being there. Equally I don’t think its professional to see the management/staff sitting around a table with a drink at the end of the evening

We had a great night with two other couples. Everyone enjoyed the food and the ambiance was really great. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive but never intrusive. It was great to have a proper timber dining table to eat at, rather than a wobbly cafe table. We shared a selection of savoury dishes with rice and wholemeal rotis. The servings were generous and the food was not oily or heavily salted. The Lal Mohan desert my wife and I shared was also very nice. The only downside is that we were having such a good time we stayed so long the timber chairs started to feel uncomfortable, whereas initially they were fine.

Such amazing food, especially the watermelon martini and the salmon tacos. The corn ball special also really good. Quick good and fantastic service the waiters/ waitress all really friendly. A little loud but a younger vibe. Pricey but not too ridiculous and worth the amazingness of the food. Can’t wait to return!

Really interesting food in a small setting . A good range of small, medium and large dishes. Our favourites were fish amok; scotch fillet and the spiced cauliflower side. Very reasonably priced wine list from small wineries. Strongly recommend. Also consider the chef’s tasting menu.
