We visited for my parentsâ birthday meal, and it was lovely. Greeted really nicely and instantly sat to our table. The service was fast but not intrusive. Immediately offered drinks and popadoms which were lovely. The curry is always amazing, we go here regularly and it the best curry around, I hate the Tandoori Butter Chicken which was delicious. We had a fantastic time and it was definitely worth the bill. Really enjoyed and will be back there soon.

Myself partner and daughter came for dinner here whilst on holiday to Brean based on earlier reviews and it was as good as we hoped. We opted to eat from the menu as opposed to the buffet and it was simply delicious! Would happily come back next time we are in Brean!

My first visit to Maliwans, on a drizzly, cold midweek evening. It was early, about 6pm, we hadn't booked but the restaurant had plenty of free tables. We were greeted with a smile by the waitress in traditional Thai dress, shown to our table & given menus. Drinks orders of a bottle of Chilean sauvignon blanc were taken & we were left to peruse the plethora of dishes on offer. I admit that I'm not overly familiar with Thai food, and the friends I was with had only been to the restaurant once before, so to make things easier all round we ordered a set meal, the Bangkok at £19.95 per person. We were given prawn crackers and a small dish of sweet chilli dipping sauce. The mixed starter was excellent, with tender chicken satay skewers, crispy spring rolls, succulent ribs, crunchy prawn toasts etc, all with 3 different dipping sauces. Next the green Thai chicken curry, with chunks of tender chicken in a sauce rich with coconut milk & spices. The following dishes of beef stir fry, mixed vegetables and rice noodles were all delicious too. I loved the blue and white tableware that was used to serve of food. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive.All in all a very satisfactory first visit for me & I will definitely becoming back to try more of the flavoured dishes from the extensive menu.

Whilst I realise this review should be of my latest visit it would be unfair not to mention that previous experiences of this restaurant and my chosen dish have been excellent - certainly not so yesterday evening..I was in a group of 9 and we all ordered from the banquet menu which seemed excellent value. I asked to pay extra for 'TIGER BY THE RIVER', a tiger prawn dish which I very much enjoyed twice before. This time the prawns were very over cooked, rather mashed-up in the curry sauce and totally tasteless except for a slight 'burnt' taste. Yes, I should have complained at the time but I was trapped in my bench seat and didn't want to embarras my host on his stag night..Some of my group commented that their food was 'not the best' and we have experienced better service in the past as well. Hoping for much better next visit.

Diamond of a find. Warm welcoming staff on arrival in a very clean and tidy restaurant. The menu offered some really good specials and some dishes not seen before.The food was exceptional and every meal was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Highly recommended. I think youâd struggle to find a better Indian. We have visited twice in a week now and will be back when next in the area. Thank you.

Luckily for us this our local. We love the friendly welcome and atmosphere, and the food is absolutely fantastic. All freshly cooked to order and really tasty. Well worth a visit! We've even had my son's 5th Birthday party there and they did a great job for that too!

Shown to table next to toilet. After asking if another table, was offered the next table by the toilet. Eventually been offered a table away from the toilet. Not very friendly, but food was fine.

We were seated near the part where the takeaways were ordered, and the waitress had to walk through to serve etc, and so my chair was continuously kicked or knocked. The food wasnât great either, I can only imagine it was cooked by a non Chinese chief, eatable but ethnic taste. The waiters and waitresses seem to lack interest.It would be far more comfortable to eat in there if they had not crammed in so many tables.Needless to say we will not be returning.

Went for banquet night on a Wednesday. Excellent tasty meal (including superb Onion Bhajee) Staff friendly , efficient and service was good considering the restaurant was very busy. Really pleased I went there !!!
