Lucky Star Chinese Restaurant

We have come here many times and always enjoy fresh, hot & good food. We enjoy the Family "D" special (Mongolian Beef, General Tso's chicken, friend rice, chicken chow mien plus all the extras like BBQ pork, soup, egg roll etc.) We especially like the Lemon Chicken with white rice and by adding this to the Family special mean we get about 3 meals for two out of the deal. Everything comes to the table fresh and hot and the restaurant never seems too crowded. It is in a strip mall but we like the food here and will keep coming back. Nothing seems too spicy and you probably need to ask if you really want to spice up your meal! Two Family "D" meals + Lemon Chicken runs about $50.

Stopped by as I was craving some Thai food. Came here cause of their reviews. They didn’t disappoint, food was prepared fresh. Portions are big so we took home the leftovers. Not pricy, affordable! Manager even came by to check on us after we finished eating. That was nice! Will be back, thanks for the great service and delicious food

Mizu Steak House

Your first warning should be the health department review that gave it an ok, vs good or excellent.Made a reservation for 8, got seated. The waiter, possibly related to the manager, came to take our orders. The apps, sushi and rolls came out fine. This is supposed to be a steakhouse with a good hibachi presentation. Not the case. Waiter boy screwed up every order, so that the hibachi cook didn’t have what he was supposed to. The show was actually the cook running back to the kitchen 4 times for missing items.(shrimp, fried rice, chicken)The cook was frustrated and I thought he went back to beat waiter boy up. Bowls that held steamed rice weren’t rinsed properly, so the rice tasted like soap. Unless the rice is supposed to taste like soap. The cooking ingredients are flavorless. Lots of oil, too much soy, and a big pile of flavored margarine. Too much grease, resulting in most of us experiencing different levels of gastric distress.Waiter boy forgot drinks, screwed up the dinner from start to finish, then hid behind the protector momager. The worst restaurant experience we’ve had in a long time.

We have been going to Kami for several years now. It has always been one our favorites in town. The food is always good and the prices are reasonable. If you like teriyaki this is the place to go.

House of Pho

Reviewed By RexTak

I had previously tried this restaurant after they had first opened some time ago and didn't think it was anything special. But, after reading some of the other positive reviews I thought I should give it another try. My wife and I went there on a Friday evening for dinner and the place was almost full. The small parking lot was totally full (partly because of being right next to a large Mexican restaurant), so we had to park in the Fred Meyer parking lot. The decor is ok, typical of a suburban Pho restaurant, but the view of the Fred Meyer parking lot doesn't help. We sat in a booth, and one of the seat cushions was taped to cover a hole; the seats weren't very comfortable. Service was friendly and courteous. I had P20 (small size was $6.95, large was $7.95), which is Pho with brisket, marbled brisket (or fatty brisket), flank and soft tendon. The Pho had very good flavor and was served piping hot. The Pho is much better than the blander broth at Souper Pho. The soft tendon was sliced thinly, which I enjoyed. My wife had C1, which was the Grilled Marinated Beef Short Ribs ($8.95); again, the flavor of these ribs was excellent. C1 comes with Jasmine rice, marinated sliced carrots, sliced cucumbers, sliced tomatoes and lettuce, along with fish sauce and a cup of broth (chicken base broth?). Overall, it was a pleasant surprise to find such good Vietnamese food with good service in Covington. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the decor and view.

Walked into the restaurant on a Friday night and they were busy with 1 woman running the whole show. She was the hostess, waitress, bus person and cashier. I wouldn't be surprised if she was the cook too. Anyway all kidding aside she pointed us in the direction of 2 open tables and we were able to choose which one we wanted. After sitting down at the table I noticed that a small portion was all sticky. It took forever for her to come back and wipe it down and to get our water. After a lengthy delay she was finally able to take our order and usually when the soup comes out it is quick but not this time. Even the food took forever to come out and it too usually comes out quick. It was really bland and didn't taste too well. However the lady was swamped big time and there was a child screaming at the top of his lungs for a good 1/2 hour and the parents didn't bother to calm him down. I think we were all able to give a big sigh of relief when they left.Yes we will go back as it is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in Covington. The prices are pretty good for what you get.

Golden Phoenix was a great surprise. We were seated immediately, water and hot tea were served within a minute, the menu offered a tremendous amount of choices, and our food was served quickly. Our server, although efficient and attentive, and said the right things, was very bland in personality and came off as a little robotic. Most importantly, however, is that our food was delicious!. We ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Mongolian Beef, Hot and Sour Soup, and Egg Flower Soup. Each one of these items were some of the best we've ever eaten. We only wish we would have had some to take home for leftovers (but we ate every single bite). We will be back! P.S. There was a notice on the tables that stated they home deliver through Door Dash. We will be trying that out also!

Had such an amazing time at dinner last night. Our server Olivia was so sweet and really friendly. We tried a bunch of different rolls, and I definitely liked The Rainier roll as well as the trapper roll the best. It doesn't hurt either that they have an all you can eat sushi every day for only $25. I can't wait to be back again!!!

The Iron Grill Mongolian BBQ

Reviewed By Rehsinup19

I took my wife here for dinner and we really enjoyed our meal. There is a nice selection of fresh ingredients and tender noodles to create your meal in addition to a wide variety of meats to finish your meal creation (COD, beef, pork, chicken, prawns, calamari and lamb). The sauces available were a nice accompaniment to the vegetables, noodles and meat. The prices are very reasonable. This is one of the best Mongolian Grills I have been to.
