What a nice surprise breakfast all day. It’s what they are known for. This good little Greek resturant has been a staple in the town for years. The regulars even assist with the meal choices. I wish I was in the mode for those great Greek dishes on the menu. The omelette was good and one party had the Ruben which was messy. It will be a return if we get back to Wellesley.

I am not a fan of their sister restaurant the Cottage. This is completely different. Imaginative, inspired, fresh ingredients- creative cocktails. The brussel sprouts are excellent as are the crab lettuce wraps. Not a fan of the duck nachos: the tarte tatin was delicious: the waitress was so friendly as are the host staff, and bartenders- a diametric opposite to the Cottage that is mot customer service focused and has management that dont seem to care ( as evidenced by not one Management Response to any review of the Cottage).

We dined here with friends. The restaurant has an attractive decor, we were seated promptly and waitstaff were attentive enough without being intrusive. The menu is somewhat limited but the food was tasty, fresh and well prepared. We enjoyed the fish tacos (the fish is fried but not greasy and the order arrives as three well-filled soft flour tacos), beef short ribs, and Halibut entrees. The peach and tomato burrata was just ok, the white peaches were not very sweet and could have been allowed to ripen. A small cup of olives we ordered were delicious with some unusual large red olives soaked in evoo. We found the mixed drinks to be a bit pricey for their petite size. Wine prices seemed typical for an upscale restaurant and beer a bit at the high end although the selection was imported (no Budweiser, Michelob, Coors...) which may account for this. We enjoyed this restaurant, will recommend it to friends, and plan to return.

Stopped by this AM for a bagel and a shear. 15 people in line, took barely 5 minutes for the order to be taken, 2-3 more for toasted and shmeared deliciousness to be delivered.Big assortment of bagels and cream cheeses, as well as other toppings, plus all the usual bagel breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Prices are reasonable, too. $3.75 for bagel with lox spread, includes tax.

We have given this restaurant a chance several times and this last time made our decision clear, never again! Service was spotty, food was okay but not great! Clam chowder was watery, too much bacon and the French dip was overloaded with horseradish sauce! Funny, we almost were going to get up and leave after looking at the menu but decided to give it one more shot! An expensive choice!

I took my father here for Father’s Day and arrived for a 345 reservation. The restaurant was almost empty. We waited about 30 minutes to see bread and ultimately, Probably about one hour before we saw food.. We went for 30 minutes without even having water being placed on the table. Despite the restaurant being empty, our water glasses were left unfilled. Even after I mentioned to the waitress, Neide, that the service was poor, it did not help the situation of unfilled water glasses, slow food delivery, inattentive service. Neide assured me that they were not shortstaffed and they had plenty of help. Yet, we continued to have unfilled water glasses, and slow service. The food was mediocre. We sat with our dirty plates in front of us, having finished eating, for another 20 minutes. We needed to ask to have them removed. When we got dessert, I asked for an extra plate, as I was sharing with my father. The extra plate never arrived, so after 10 min (warm bread pudding getting cold now) , I had to ask again. It took so long to get the check that we ended up going to the front desk and asked the manager Arielle, to get us the check and we would pay at the front. We explained to Arielle how poor the service had been, and she tried to justify that they had served over 400 people that day. However, when we were there, the restaurant was empty. And, there should never be justification for poor service. As an aside, there were two empty tables by the front door, that were filled with dirty , uncleared dishes. I paid the bill, without Arielle even offering any compensation (not that I would’ve wanted it, but in the situation, I would’ve expected it) and left. This restaurant needs a severe overhaul in management and Food Service if, on Father’s Day, they cannot anticipate the need for skilled wait staff. It is unfortunate that the poor service ruined my Father’s Day experience. There are so many better options is Wellesley where you can have attentive service, general manager that is responsive to customers and better food.

Captain Marden's Seafoods

Visited Captain Marden's because we were going to a business nearby. With the exception of the fried scallops, everything else was poor to average. The cornbread to start was dry, the fried clams were mushy and tasteless, the coleslaw was just barely seasoned beyond plain cabbage, and the tartar sauce had a weird slimy quality to it that was really off-putting. No liquor license and spotty service. Would definitely not return given the wealth of other seafood restaurants in the area that are much, much better.

My husband got the italian and said it was also great. It has stool and counter seating. Not friendly for babies so we sat outside at the picnic tables. That is the only downside. Service was phenomenal.

A manager of mine researched Kings and we took a 15 party work group to spend a few hours catching up outside of work. The vibe was great and the staff was very familiar with large parties. There was no problems keeping up with our myriad of drink orders and random apps thrown at them. Bowling was also a blast, and we were able to book lanes next to each other to fit the size of our group. With it being conveniently placed to i-95, there was no problems with people commuting back after the work function.Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review. You are correct in that we are no stranger to large parties and work groups. One of our favorite things is hosting groups of co-workers and giving them a space to let loose and have fun together. We hope to see you back soon, I can also recommend coming for Trivia on Mondays or Karaoke on Thursdays, both are great for groups. Thank you again.
