We stopped here for breakfast after a night at a local motel before heading another three hours up the coast. We wanted egg and cheese sandwiches, nothing fancy. Perfect choice because we were able to get them with avocado, too. Very reasonably priced and friendly service. We noticed the kindness paid to their elderly “regulars” and knew these were quality people serving quality food. There’s an extensive deli sandwich menu, too, including options for non-meat eaters. Parking on the street was easy. The circus theme is an added bonus.

As the summer is winding down, this was my last chance to enjoy a steamed lobster dinner. I went with my wife and mother-in-law to this restaurant. My wife ordered the grilled salmon salad and my mother-in-law order the lobster roll. I enjoyed the lobster while my mother-in-law devoured the roll. My wife was not overly thrilled with the salad but ate all the salmon. The food was delivered in a timely manner (considering the lobster needed to be steamed), the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, the price was reasonable for the items ordered.

Some of the offerings were unusual combinations. Like baked haddock with Asian slaw and rice cakes. The haddock was cooked properly but the slaw and rice cakes were bland and contributed nothing. The seafood chowder was excellent. It had 3 decent sized scallops.

Stopped in for a quick lunch before an appointment. Sat at the bar. Jen E waited on us and she was excellent. I had the lobster roll, superior. Husband had the Chamberlain burger and said it was excellent. We told Jen we had an appointment to make and she brought our check with meal. Next time we’ll go earlier so we don’t have to hurry. The ambience at the bar was so friendly, we chatted with other patrons and Jen and will definitely go back.

A true family run restaurant. Old world ambiance from the classic German favorites playing on the stereo overhead to the large collection of bier steins hanging on the walls. The professional wait staff work hard to ensure a 5 star experience. the incredi

Yes, the decor is a bit dated. BUT the food is above average. And if you want to experience a bit of German cuisine, then you might enjoy the flavors. There is a pretty good selection of draft beer available. Staff was attentive, and we will go back.Note to owner -- ditch the ridiculous peppered mustard. I've never had this in 40 years of work in Germany.Dear Guest, we’re pleased to know you enjoyed your visit! Not only did Sea Dog offer excellent fresh brew choices, they offered other drinks as well. We took away a Growler of the Blueberry and a Cider. The food was amazing and offered something for everyone, many local choices and the expected comfort foods on the menu. A great scenic view as well.

A cafe, deli and bakery that serves all-natural, from-scratch food, including homemade soups, deli salads, made-to-order sandwiches, hand-formed loaf breads, muffins and scones, cookies and cupcakes, cakes and pies and more!

Reviewed By wiiildbill

This place is a little chaotic, with 360 degree choices, so suggest just studying the flow a bit before ordering. I noticed they had some interesting soups and snack foods after I had paid for my meal. Had the smoked chicken sandwich on tomato basil bread, but the bread was bland and became instantly soggy with mayo (I ate it right there). It was a sloppy mess. My wife did not finish her sandwich, which was also messy and not flavorful.Lot of cookies, brownies, etc. My wife didn't finish her brownie (plain chocolate). I got a German chocolate version that was good. Long wait even though it was not crowded. There is a small indoor eating area and some outdoor.

A lovely Maine cafe and a good spot for a casual breakfast. A bit crowded, and tables are close together, which made maneuvering difficult for a mobility-impaired guest - but staff was helpful and the breakfast and baked goods were tasty. Clearly loved by locals and tourists alike. Thanks for the review - we appreciate it!
