Captain Marden's Seafoods

Visited Captain Marden's because we were going to a business nearby. With the exception of the fried scallops, everything else was poor to average. The cornbread to start was dry, the fried clams were mushy and tasteless, the coleslaw was just barely seasoned beyond plain cabbage, and the tartar sauce had a weird slimy quality to it that was really off-putting. No liquor license and spotty service. Would definitely not return given the wealth of other seafood restaurants in the area that are much, much better.

Our hotel shuttle brought us out for some dinner and adult beverages. This place really hit the spot. The beers and food were really good and really hit the spot. The atmosphere, even on a Tuesday night, was great. I left completely stuffed! I'd like to go back and try some more of their beers and different menu items.

Buttercup

Out of town family members and I had dinner here this weekend and it did not disappoint. We all enjoyed it! Wonderful savory flavors, with a lively and trendy atmosphere. My arugula, watermelon and feta salad was light, fresh and flavorful. And the buttermilk cornbread with lavender honey, home made ricotta, orange zest and thyme was beautifully presented and superbly delicious. The only reason I’m giving a 4-star review rather than 5 is that there were no vegetarian entrees on the menu and very few vegetarian apps / sides, which was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. That said, I would not hesitate to come back sometime again. Buttercup has a good vibe and the bar area looked nice too.

Back in February 2012, I gave Zaftig's a glowing five-star review here on TripAdvisor. Fast forward seven years, and my perspective has changed significantly. A recent lunch visit with my wife was effectively ruined by someone having an especially bad day. And we're not going to take the chance on a repeat performance.

Breakfast & Brunch We’re a family run diner that lost our business for over 20 years due to a fire. We are thrilled to be back in Framingham serving the people who make the world go ‘round. Hours: 6:00am to 2:00pm daily *Only closed on Christmas Day*

We went on a weekday late morning, and there was about a 20-minute wait for a table. The service was prompt and friendly; they brought drinks right away and checked in about refills frequently, but not annoyingly so. The coffee is excellent, and refills come with both hot and iced.I had the half-size egg benedict. It comes with home fries and was plenty filling. I was asked whether I wanted the poached egg soft or medium, which was a nice touch. Most items on the menu look enormous, and I saw many people leaving with boxes of leftovers. I hope to return when I can share one of their pancake or waffle creations.

Unfriendly and unwelcoming. No hello, or greeting when I, the only customer in the place, came in and sat down. I was not offered coffee or a menu. After listening for a minute to the two behind the counter complain about quitting, and realizing I wasn't going to be acknowledged, I spoke up and asked for a cheese omelet, home fries and toast. I was acknowledged and when I was about to receive my order, it was obvious I was not going to be offered anything to drink so again, I spoke up and asked for a coffee and a water. The coffee was lukewarm and I never got the water. The home fries were disgusting and lukewarm. I should have been tipped off that there were no cars in the lot and no customers inside. 10 AM on a beautiful Saturday morning and the place was empty. Plenty of other places in Natick with better service and better food than this dump. PASS!

A manager of mine researched Kings and we took a 15 party work group to spend a few hours catching up outside of work. The vibe was great and the staff was very familiar with large parties. There was no problems keeping up with our myriad of drink orders and random apps thrown at them. Bowling was also a blast, and we were able to book lanes next to each other to fit the size of our group. With it being conveniently placed to i-95, there was no problems with people commuting back after the work function.Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review. You are correct in that we are no stranger to large parties and work groups. One of our favorite things is hosting groups of co-workers and giving them a space to let loose and have fun together. We hope to see you back soon, I can also recommend coming for Trivia on Mondays or Karaoke on Thursdays, both are great for groups. Thank you again.
