I do not have Hardee's in Texas (Carls Jr only). The food was as good as I remember - Chicken filet sandwich, chocolate chip cookie and cinnamon raisin biscuit!! Only utilized the drive thru, but the staff were very nice and prepared me for the wait.

It's a nice locally owned restaurant. Limited seating, but its usually not a problem, unless its during downtown events, then good luck getting a table. Food is very good. Limited menu, but they have been offering daily specials and have been offering a few more options. Great place to eat before you go out bar hopping for the night in downtown Jacksonville.

We stayed the night in Jacksonville on Memorial Day. The two restaurants suggested to us by hotel staff were not opened so we chose the Ponderosa by default & we were hungry. The three young ladies welcoming and serving us were very pleasant and accommodating. My husband ordered the ribeye which he said was grilled perfectly. On recommendation by another customer, I ordered the beef medallions with mushrooms and onions, however once I saw the large variety buffet, I asked if I could change my order. They did without any trouble. They replaced platters of food timely so that it all looked freshly cooked. The macaroni cheese, mashed potatoes & green beans were delicious. I left satisfied and my tummy very full!

WE typically do not write reviews on chain restaurants. We prefer to keep our reviews to restaurants that are privately owned and operated. This place however we are going to make an exception. We have visited here multiple times. All of our experiences have been sitting at a table in the bar area. The bartender here is very friendly and eager to please. For a patron that is a fresh approach to a chain restaurant. Great service, decent food and food specials that make you feel like it is a value over other places. Overall this place gives you more than your typical Applebee's in our humble opinion. We understand your mileage may vary but give it a try.

This BWW located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Restaurant was roomy, with fast WIFI. Service was excellent, drinks were kept full, and the quality of food was excellent. We all thought that the food here was definitely better than most BWW chains. When in Jacksonville, will definitely return to BWW. Keep up the great work.

No website but GREAT local food and fair prices!
This is good comfort food. Down home, at its best, as far as I am concerned. I especially like breakfast here, but will not bore you with my opinions on Norma's if you're close, drop in, if you're further away, hitch up your belt and get on in to Norma's. No, I am not related ::laughing:: I don't even know Norma, or if there IS a Norma.

Our family came in for dinner last night. There was 9 of us. Everyone was completely pleased with the food and service. I ordered the country fried steak horseshoe and replace the french fries with hash browns. This was absolutely the very best horseshoe I have ever had and I grew up in Central Illinois. My family who lives out of state now, definitely agreed if we're back in Jacksonville we will come back and visit this restaurant. Restaurant was clean and our waitress Amanda did a great job.

Went here with a group from work staying overnight in Jacksonville. With the name of this restaurant, I figured it was a play on words, and mostly just a bar. Not true! Sure, there is a full bar. But this restaurant is so much more - it's a gourmet restaurant. Loved the pork chop wrapped in bacon and served with peppercorn parmesan cream. One coworker had the steak, and oohed-and-aahed the rest of the evening. I hear the salmon was great as well. In warmer weather, the garden out back would be a fun location for the meal. I was actually surprised that downtown Jacksonville had so much to offer! Well recommended.

Old-fashion burgers with crispy edges! Crinkle-cut fries, beer-battered onion rings, milk shakes, and homemade chili!
I like to eat at locally owned establishments when possible and I can remember years ago when I was a child this building being the first Steak N Shake restaurant that I had ever eaten at. Fast forward to 2018 and the former Steak N Shake building now houses the Burger Board. I really wanted to try a hamburger but the tenderloin basket was calling my name. It took just a bit to receive my order but it was worth it. Made to order and fresh! I will for sure be making a stop here to try some other menu items on a future trip to Jacksonville. I highly suggest trying this place if you are an out of towner like myself.

Really delicious burger. I eat a lot of burgers and this one was exceptional. Fantastic waitress. Professional and efficient. Our only complaints were the table was sticky and they had door propped open, so there were a ton of flies inside. We will definitely be back!
