We split the two meat platter with brisket and pulled pork. Potato salad and cowboy beans for sides. All very tasty and generous portions! The meat was smoked just right, very flavorful. Oh, don't miss the pecan pie - yummy!

Very nice inside. Hubby ordered Chicken fried steak and it was the real thing. Very good. Salad was great. Waitress was attentive and very friendly. Food was good. They also have covered patio for dining and a full bar. Prices were average.

Ok, in the height of summer, on a beautiful day, most restaurants anywhere in the US will be busy, but the staff do their best to keep things moving. I wish I could say moving efficiently, but waiting over a half an hour for a sandwich? The reuben sandwich was good, the onion rings were sub par. I think the food sat a while before serving because it was luke warmHello there, thanks for coming into Back Country and we appreciate your review. I remember this afternoon as I made your Ruben, the ticket time from drop time to serve time was 14 minutes and it was served after quite a few bigger tables. Iâm glad you enjoyed your Ruben, our onion rings are beer battered so they are a little different. If you didnât like the noise of other peoples conversation maybe you shouldâve opted for our patio where itâs a bit more quite. We were quite concerned that our ticket time for your table was a bit longer then average so in order to make sure that hadnât been the case I went back and looked at the in house camera. From the time you folks had sat to the time you left you spent around 42 minutes. Thatâs a pretty average lunch time for our tables. We hope on your next trip through Gunnison you stop by and we can get a chance to get the last two stars.

Fresh ingredients, made from scratch meals. Everything absolutely delicious The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and bar drinks when we asked questions. Very accommodating to my dietary needs. Ambiance cool! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a good food and fun place!

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience at this pub/restaurant. Our server was busy but efficient. Bar staff was welcoming when we arrived. The food choices were varied, including veggie options, I had a great southwestern influenced ratatouille (of all things!). Beers from all over the state. Reasonable prices. What's not to like?

We were passing through Gunnison and were hungry. While trolling Main Street, we came upon Firebrand Deli. Glad we did. They close at 3pm and it was 2:50pm. They happily took our order even though they were almost closed. Fun little deli. You order at the counter from a menu written on a large chalk board. They have a varied assortment of sandwiches, soups and the like. The deli is a bit crowded with a number of tables and one wall filled with photos sent in by patrons.We ordered the Surefire, a turkey sandwich that came with a pickle, corn chips and a small amount of potato salad. The sandwich was great. Fresh and tasty. The potato salad was also very good. But there wasn't enough of it.All-in-all good lunch.

Our bartender was the nicest most courteous young man ever....sadly, management hung him out to dry. He was stretched too thin....he was doing the bar and tables abd it seemed had no help. He tried hard though. Everything we wanted to order, they were out of...thats the management or chefs fault but he had to deal with it. Then he brought out my salad and gave it to the wrong person. After it sat there for about 10 minutes they realized the mistake...and he brings the salad to me....after it was served to someone else....ewww....no thanks. We were really hungry...a good meal would have helped...this place didnt deliver....but the bartender tried, management didnt.

This place was one of the best places we stopped for in CO. It was friendly, clean and relaxed. Everything here was great tasting and the prices were reasonable. The main street mac bake was probably the best dish we had on our ten day vacation trip through the West. We also had a great burger and bbq pork tacos with pineapple salsa that were really good too. They had local awards on the wall for about a decade + worth of best chicken fried steak also.

Stopped by one afternoon for a drink. Wasn't looking for food and thought I'd try a sampling of their beers, so I bought a flight. To me, it was pretty average, although the bartender was friendly and helpful in selecting the beers to try. I'm a fan of darker brews and they only had a couple on tap at the time of my visit. Seemed to be a popular place and the outdoor upstairs balcony looked inviting for a sunny day. Unfortunately, a big thunderstorm preventing checking it out.Hi Charles,Thank you for your review? Sorry that we didn't have a larger selection of dark beers for you. During the warmer months, we don't have much of a demand for dark beers. We do, however, have our annual "Stouts of November" coming soon, which will provide three different stouts this year, including our extremely limited and very popular, The Matron.
