We were just returning from our first Budapest walk and looking for a place to eat dinner (preferably Hungarian cuisine), when sudden rain forced us to enter the nearest restaurant. We encountered attentive service, pleasant environment and wide choice of American style and portions of food. Now I understand, why so many Americans are obese. We were barely able to finish our meals.We are so glad, the rain forced you into our restaurant! :) Thank you for the kind words and hopefully you will walk in again, when your stomach forces to do so. ;)

Best Authentic Californian Kitchen and Surf Atmosphere! American Burgers, Melts, Subs, American Premium Sodas such as A&W Root Beer or Cream Soda Mexican Enchilada, real Nachos and Tortilla Soup! You won't be disappointed with our BBQ Spare Ribs as well!

Love the atmosphere, the staff is cute and very helpful, everyone speaks english! I would recommend it to anyone: individuals, couples, families. There is even a children corner and child seat. Sometimes you have to make a reservation in advance, because of the popularity of the restaurant, especially on weekends.

We spend a month in Budapest every year, and we love to check out the daily menus which many restaurants feature on weekdays. They are usually a good sampling of the restaurant's food at about half the price. I would have given it 1 or 2 stars for the daily menu, but I have to say that the deep dish pizzas we saw served at other tables looked like they might be very good, so I didn't want to tell people to avoid the restaurant all together, just the daily menu. The daily menu food was very mediocre - lasagna for my husband and chicken and mashed potatoes for me and the free drink they provided was watery.Thank you for sharing your experiences! Every day we work hard to give the best to all of our guests so your feedback was really helpful in improving our services. We hope you will come back to our restaurant soon for a better experience!

Currently on our way back from a 4 day Hen Party in Budapest and a few of us spent our final afternoon at Lucky 7 Burgers and had a brilliant experience. The service from the moment we walked in was attentive and accommodating. The owner was incredibly helpful regarding help with taxis and where to go and what to do in Budapest. He even took all of our small change and turned it into notes. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced! Thanks so much for a great last day.

Iâm a bit disappointed I have to write this, but Smokey Monkies is definitely not the same restaurant I enjoyed a year ago. No longer good and fresh.This was a nice concept, but it someone in the management decided to make a 360 degree turn.1) Despite the fact there are (3) people upfront only one actually makes the sandwiches so during the lunch rush you thereâs a huge bottleneck. One person handles extras such as jalapeños, sides, etc and the last person is the cashier. All in all, itâs a similar style to Subway without any of the efficiency. The saddest part of this is they still havenât learned to improve this system from the beginning. The cashier has no idea what the person ordered when itâs time to pay and they need to have a small conversation with the person who prepared it every single time...2) Pulled pork was dry and tasteless this trip. Iâm guessing it wasnât prepared fresh earlier in the day since some pieces were rock hard. 3) Any sandwich with this much meat or toppings should be in a banquette or at least a harder bread - the bread it as flimsy as paper so everything falls out and you need to eat it with a fork and knife.4) Mac & Cheese is absolutely disgusting and is MICROWAVED. Even a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese (you mix water and cheddar powder) is more tasty than what they served. I understand not the everything can be prepared fresh, but that was horrible and it tasted like water. Completely tasteless and bland.Unfortunately, the Smokey Monkies I knew and recommended two years ago to others is no longer the same. Itâs really disappointing they went complex downhill.P.S - You used to get cheddar cheese on both sides of the bread, now itâs only one.
