Who knew that a Tex-Mex restaurant would serve some of the best grilled lobster on the island? My friend and I stopped in this restaurant because it was actually open on a Monday and was located close to where we were staying (about 2 1/2 miles south of San Pedro). We are from Texas, and when we saw that the menu was primarily Tex-Mex items, we almost left because we wanted some local fare. The owner, Steve, convinced us to stay and served us grilled lobster with local rice and beans and cole slaw. The lobster was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the cole slaw was better than what we get in Texas! I'm sure the Tex-Mex items are well prepared and delicious, but you should come to this restaurant for lobster while in season.

Pleasantly surprised by the great food and service at this funky little oceanside restaurant. The food was really good, and the service was top notch. The reggae singer was pretty bad, but the music was OK. I felt liking tipping him $10 just to play and not sing... :)Highly recommended for a nice night out.

Had dinner here on our stay. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. Loved the sand floor!Big menu with many choices.. too many. Everything sounded great, so hard to choose.Cornbread served as a starter was scrumptious.Grilled octopus, just perfect.My main course was ok. Had the famous fried chicken. It was good, not greasy ( a plus) but maybe lacked a bit of spice..?? The service was attentive and friendly.My husband loved his blackened fish.Will try and go back again if we get a chance.

Been going here for over 20 years and still as good as first time there. A real family run establishment today has some of the most kick ass fry jacks that have ever touched my tongue. Had a blackboard menu for the whole time I've been going. Almost feinted when they handed me a menu this month. A must try restaurant if there's ever been one. Classic beach bar|restaurant

Neri's is where a lot of the local community eat. It is not a tourist or a fancy restaurant. You sit at picnic tables on a dirt floor. An 18" step up platform gets you to the order counter where you see the entire kitchen. Tacos are small, but 3 are only $1 Belize, or $ .50 US. The chicken ones were delicious. I needed more than those for lunch so I ordered one of their stuffed fry jacks, triangular dough that is fried. I was expecting the usual size of about 3" on a side. Instead what I got was a delectable stuffed pastry about the size of a large calzone. I could only eat half of it. To wash this down I ordered one or their agua frescas, Tamarind, and it was fantastic. All of this wonderful meal only cost $4.25 US.

There aren't too many Breakfast options available at 6am. Easy drive down South to Mahogany Bay to visit Orlando and Carmen at the Taco Shack. Order the Fried Jack Burrito.
