Domenico's Italian Kitchen

New to Beaumont and located right off Interstate 10, Domenico's Italian Kitchen serves up great Italian food at a very reasonable price. It has an extensive menu that features all of the Italian favorites. The Lasagna and Pasta dishes are great and their Pizzas are terrific. Two of our favorites are the Calabrese and Big D Pizza's. The "Individual" Pizza is about the size of a "Medium" Pizza at most other Italian restaurangs. The y also have a very tasty dinner salad; the small one will easily serve two people. Overall, a friendly staff and great food at an affordable price makes eating at Domienico's Italian Kitchen a must if you are in the area.

My daughter and I with 4 grandchildren showed up at 6:30 on a Friday evening. Originally told the wait was 30 minutes we were seated within 10 minutes.

Small pizza fed the grandkids with some to take home. Grownups shared several pasta dishes and every one of them was really good.

Leftover pizza was excellent. I mean really good pepperoni pizza. Pasta portions were generous and were enough to feed two adults at home that didn't make the trip.

The garlic cheese bread was some of the best I've had. Better than at much better restaurants.

Our server was friendly and very attentive to us the entire time even though it was busy.

Perhaps those writing poor reviews went on off nights because our experience was great.

Hey, you'll want to stop by Choco Donuts in Beaumont behind WalGreens. Their donuts are always fresh and tasty. They also make large donuts for that special occasion or office meeting. The owners are also Christian and have Bible verses around the store to read. You'll like it!!

Having just gotten back from New Orleans and oyster gorging 101 ways, I thought maybe a place like Fisherman's might serve good fried oysters. I was really disappointed. They were black! I am not sure what that meant but I tried one and it was really strong. Spoiling? Was it a canned? or bottled product? certainly not fresh. Every one likes Fisherman's so I gave it a 3 because their other good is probably really good.

We stopped in because there is always a crowd in the parking lot. We should of turned around when we saw people eating mac and cheese in the bar! My husband had what they called manicotta, but it wasn't. It was two sheets of pasta with mozzarella cheese in between. There was some bottle tomato sauce spread over the top. It was gross. I had cheese ravioli and they were horrible. I did not expect homemade ones, but edible ones would have been nice. I also ordered a tequila drink and it was made with the rot gut Tijuana tequila that I didn't know they still made.

It was stifling hot in the restaurant. The only semi redeeming feature was that it was very inexpensive. Our dinner was $18. We would have gladly paid double for decent food. It is a sad state of affairs when it is rated the best restaurant that Banning has to offer. It is not. I would say that this area does not have a clue about Italian food, but we ate at Russo's down the street and it was actually pretty good!

Normally, I'd save that 5th star for an "over the top" place. But, given the value here, Flo's get it.. This is one of 3 Flo's locations; and the only one not located in chino. This is a small dining venue, and was already on a wait at 5pm. The reason: Prime rib! Now, when I see prime rib as an evening special, either it's thin and tough, or it's pretty expensive. This was $16, and it was 2 inches thick, and cooked just right. Dinner comes with choice of potato, and mixed veggies. Side salad is $1.99. The whole dinner was $60 for 3 people, and that included coffee. Oh, and they have really tasty pies made in their own little bakery in chino too. They bring em' out to this location about every day or two they said. Take a whole pie; at 9-$12 a pie its hard to beat.
All in all, not sure how you can beat this place for the money. Most of the California eateries I've been to on this trip have already increased their prices pretty significantly, to compensate for the state's rather dumb minimum wage increase. Hey, somebody has to pay the difference...
Give Flo's a go....
