We just visited Bad Toelz on our Alpenstrasse trip. We had two pizzas and some water, wich was served with a smile, was great. Not much more you can ask for.

Unsere Familie holt sich hier oft essen und wir sind immer sehr zufrieden. Die Nudeln Emiliana sind nur zu empfehlen und die Pizza ist super lecker.

My wife and I ate her last week. We sat outside in the sun which was nice watching the world go by. Sadly I can't say the same about the food. I ordered a pizza and my wife had the tortelloni. Her pasta with the cream sauce was adequate and no more, a few of her pieces of pasta were stuck together and had not separated during cooking so that the dough where they torched was raw even to the point of still having dry flour on it. I ordered a pizza and mixed salad. The mixed salad was okay nothing special, but the pizza was cooked on the outer edges bought the dough was completely raw in the centre part, it made my stomach turn. Saving graces were that the waitress was very pleasant and friendly, the beer was cold and the menu was cheap. I would rather have paid more for a decent meal and would not recommend eating here.

This restaurant is next door to the bed and breakfast, hotel landhaus iris. We arrive from the states and were tired and hungry. We walked next to get lunch and they didn't open until 2pm. The owner invited us to stay and have a drink. She prepared and antipasto type salad with garlic pita as her daily bread shipment wasn't in yet. Tomatoes and mozzarella were super fresh...grilled eggplant...yummy. She went out of her way to communicate with us in German and Italian.We returned two nights later to experience the real deal and it was! My husband had pizza with mushrooms and peppercini peppers....thin and crispy as we asked. I had tomatoes, cheese and artichokes. Salads and bread were authentic Italian! (I grew up Italian near NY and I am a tough critic!) I highly recommend. This place for more than pizza based on the meals I saw. They are busy with lots of locals.

We were there for lunch during our motorbike ride from Munich to Zell am See. We ordered 4 cheese pizza and it was delicious. We had some difficulty to communicate in English but succeed to order meal. Later on I saw another pizza on neighboring table with sausages and an egg it was marvelous. Atmosphere was very nice on a sunny sunday sitting at outside tables and observing motorcycles and classic cars traveling around. We paid nearly 30 euro for 2 pizza and 2 coke. Toilets were clean. There is wifi but only for hotel guests, they did not give us password. Due to this 3 star.

The Amalfi is a typical Italian Restaurant in the middle of Bad Tölz.They offer amazing Italian food, Pizzas, Pasta und other...Once youve entered, youll think youre in the Tuscanny ;-)

Unfortunately we arrived with high expectations however the experience was ruined within seconds. They threw us to a side desk to wait which would have been fine however noone approached us if we would like anything in the meantime (starter or a drink). After 10 minutes waiting in the very warm restaurant we thought we ask whether we can order but we were just dealt with an upsetting 'moment OK' answer. There are other good restaurants around, don't waste your time on this one. AVOID

Visited over a short trip to Bad Tolz. Excellent and friendly service. Extensive menu with many good options, with pizza and pasta with the biggest amount of options. We ordered salmon carpaccio and a soup to start and risotto porcini and calamari alla griglia, and they were tasty. Nice white house wine. Would recommend if you're looking for Bavarian food alternatives.
