We were invited to the âStiefâ on a business trip.The restaurant is located very close to the center of Schrobenhausen, an easy walk when you stay in town. There are plenty of parking lots.On the way to the âGaststubeâ you will pass the butchery, where they sell all the excellent meat they also serve in the restaurant.The restaurant is very vivid, has a typical Bavarian ambiente, with old furniture, pictures, wooden tables etc.We visited for lunch and the menu is not extensive, however provides typical Bavarian specialties. The beer obviously is good and you better donât ask for wine. They will provide some but everybody goes for beer!The portions were huge, while the cost is very reasonable. The food, especially the meat, was delicious.The meal was paired with a very attentive and friendly waitress.If you like typical Bavarian food in a typical surrounding, you have to try the Gasthaus zum Schimmelwirt.

We had dinner with colleagues from business here.The restaurant is in the old historic town of Schrobenhausen, within the old city walls.The place was rather full. It is a typical, cozy and inviting Bavarian tavern.There is a nice choice of typical Bavarian food. All a bit on the sumptuous side and huge portions as well! I had the âSurfânTurfâ, something you wouldnât expect here. Just excellent! Then Kaiserschmarrn as a dessert, a dream!The service was very attentive and very nice as well.We sticked to the local beer, a safe bet.If you are looking for a typical setting and local food, donât miss this place.

A great place to enjoy a spring or summer afternoon. The food is outstanding and reasonable. This is a family run business and you feel very much at home. There is a large play area for kids. The perfect place for a Bavarian meal.

Heute mittag haben wir im Piano d'pro wirklich fürstlich zu Mittag gegessen. Der Eingang sieht nicht besonders einladend aus, dahinter verbirgt sich allerdings ein sehr schmuckes typisch italienisches Restaurant der gehobenen Kategorie. Schöne Dekoration, tiefe Polstersessel, sehr hübsche Tische, romantische Atmosphäre. Die Bedienung äuÃerst zuvorkommend, die Karte nicht überladen mit - für das Gebotene - zivilen Preisen! Die Bar ist eine Wucht, auch der Sommelier versteht sein Handwerk mit ca. 10 angebotenen Weinen.Die Küche ein einziges Gedicht! Zu empfehlen der Tintenfisch auf Lavastein, die Saltimbocca oder die schwarze Pizza mit Trüffeln. Eine wirklich originale, sehr gute Küche. Nach unserem Essen hat die gesamte Mannschaft des Lokals von 8 Leuten neben unserem Tisch gegessen und es war wie bei Mama...GroÃes Lob für die phantastische Küche! Dafür würde ich jederzeit gerne 50 Km fahren, nur um dort essen zu können!
