As another reviewer pointed out, the food is a cut above average and the service a cut below. We have eaten in other restaurants in Beilingries and found them a better value. Still, we recommend the Fuchsbraü.

Berching is a medieval town located on the banks of the river Altmuhl. Its a charming area that is often overlooked by tourists from outside of Germany. I was searching for a suitable venue that could accommodate a large family birthday celebration and found the family run Gewurzemuhle. Roman Salzer is the son of the owner and had a good grasp of English. This made it all the more easy to make my reservation and he and his team could not have been more accommodating in helping me plan my event. This included making menu suggestions, to designing a menu card which even incorporated some family photos. On the day itself, all my guests commented on the very good quality of the local Bavarian cuisine. The two homemade strawberry gateau with sparklers in each was a delightful touch. I would not hesitate to recommend visiting Gewurzemuhle. They take pride in the quality of their cuisine. The only minor comment I would make is that our dining room lacked a little charm. However this was only a small observation. Thank you for making it a memorable evening.

Great Bavarian dishes at reasonable prices. Nothing better than having dinner outside in the warm sun with a beer watching the passing parade. No rush and no problems.
