Spotted this place during the daytime, when it has a great view to the alps in the distance. Actually ate dinner here in the evening (dark, no view) but the food was very tasty, very reasonably priced, and the staff very friendly and welcoming in a homely and unfussy way. Steaks cooked to perfection, Wiener schnitzel - one of the best i have tasted (and my kids have eaten many!), and the pasta with locally grown mushrooms was truly tasty.

was ein Idyll, da biegt man mir nichts Dir nichts von der BundesstraÃe Richtung Allgäu mal eben ab und trifft auf dieses schöne Fleckchen Erde. Ein fantastischer Kletterwald, eine groÃe Wiese direkt am See, als auch oberhalb mit Liegen. Ein toller Biergarten, schattig gelegen und dazu eine hervorragende Küche. Wir wollten gar nicht mehr weg von, der Gedanke noch 400 KM gen Heimat konnten wir jedoch nur fast vergessen. Hier möchte ich unbedingt wieder herkommen und diesmal mit Sprung ins Wasser...Der Salat mit Kasspressknödeln, als auch die 3erlei Knödel waren fantastisch. Der Zwetschgenkuchen rundete das ganze noch ab!

Cafe direkt an der Hauptstrasse gelegen.Einrichtung stil 80 er Jahre kein Flair zum wohlfühlen.Kuchen ist ok fachlich nichts auszusetzten.Persönlich keit fehlt aber auch Herzlichkeit Mensch Leute ein bischen Spass ein lächeln ein bischen mehr Mensch rüberbringen ist das so schwer.Konditormeister Klaus

Enroute from the Zurich airport to Oberammergau, Germany, my wife and I by chance stopped at the Gasthof Baren in Nesselwang (Bavaria) for lunch. What great fortune. We were personally greeted by the owner who gave us a terrific history lesson regarding the building and business as he was particularly proud that Baren had served many American officers and servicemen during WWII.Our meal was simply outstanding. I had a most delicious pork dish. My wife is a vegetarian and the owner insisted on having the chef prepare a colorful dish of vegetables and potatoes. The local beer was more a treat than a beverage. It indeed was a stroke of luck that we stopped in and enjoyed one of the best meals that we have ever had in Germany. The food/drink was beyond reproach as was the service and friendliness of the owner and staff.We highly recommend this restaurant and will likely go there again when in the area.

Wir waren eine gröÃere Gruppe anlässlich einer Feier zum Mittagessen dort. Der Wintergarten war sehr festlich eingedeckt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und der Service klappte hervorragend. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und frisch zubereitet und kam für alle - obwohl wir eine gröÃere Gruppe waren - gleichzeitig auf den Tisch. Bei schönem Wetter lädt die Terrasse zum drauÃen sitzen ein. Ein gehobenes Restaurant, auch vom Preis her, das man aber durchaus empfehlen kann.

This year we had pleasure to have a over night stay at this nice family driven hotel!We have had the pleasure several times on our way in our Austrian skiing holidays.The rooms are comfortable and to a large extent newly renovated.The kitchen is as always top in regional food, with a special Hey menu, that contains special dishes that has with mountain hey as theme! Definitely worth a try!This little hotel is worth more than a one night stay over, and we plan to have some days stay this summer!

Stopped here for lunch during our biking tour. Had a great lunch with good and friendly service and area specialties. It was worth going up the hill a few extra meters to get to this place and we would be happy to come back here any time.

Nach einer gastronomischen Enttäuschung in der näheren Umgebung waren wir angenehm überrascht. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auf der eher angenehm kleinen Speisekarte fand sich rasch etwas mit fränkischem Einschlag. Das Essen war dann auch geschmacklich und preislich vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir würden wieder dort essen gehen.
