The place was soo busy and crowded and it's hard to hear people sat with you because of all the noise but there are positives about this place.
The food was actually really nice. We tried bison, deer, zebra, ostrich and Kangaroo
You can either cook it yourself or have them cooked for you. You can chose different tasting ones or just one particular steak.
We were a table of about 18/20 with children too and they had loads of fun, just be warned it's a little pricey.
Would I recommend? Yes
Would I return? I have this is my 3rd time!

good starters, main dishes were very good, didn't try the Deserts.
service wasn't bad but had only one waitress working for serving the floor, and although that single person could eventually handle, got the felling service would be much better with a helping hand.
I will defenitly return to try the rest of the menu

We took the wrong ferry from Lisbon, so we ended up in Barreiro, and after looking for a decent restaurant for over an hour, we found this cosy place. The waiter was suuuuper nice and helpfull, even though most portuguese people don't speak english, she did and deliverd us a very delicious meal. After she also helped us to get back to the ferry-station because we were lost... So if you find yourself in Barreiro, and like traditional portuguese food, you should go here!! A nice extra: they don't even have Coca Cola or Lipton, they make everything theirselfs in a traditional way!

Restaurant serves great variety of quality traditional dishes. Portions are large so one meal is enough for two not so hungry bellies...service was a bit on the slow side but it was busy when we went. We had to ask for something twice as it was forgotten.

After a few years, the return to the Tasca da Galega was a mixture of emotions. I found a mystic space, with history and many stories, where I spent a very pleasant evening. The menu is varied, the food a delight and have an excellent service. It is certainly my choice of restaurant in Barreiro. I loved it!

This small family restaurant is well worth the visit. The husband and wife team cook and host perfectly in their small, intimate restaurant.
It ain’t fancy but the food is excellent, freshly caught fish from the mornings market, prepared and seasoned simply cooked perfectly and served without fuss.
Can’t beat it. Better food than I have had in restaurants charging ten times as much.
6 people, two courses, plenty of wine - less than 150 euro. The very charming host wouldn’t allow me to add a tip, telling me that it is most important for his customers to enjoy their evening and have great food at great value. He’s a saint and deserves to earn more !

Visited O Braseiro for a weekend family lunch, after a while since our last meal there. The food remains tasty, namely the selection of meats for the usual skewered options, also available with shrimps, squid, fruits and so on. The meat is the most common option in this restaurant.
Staff was attentive and there is a wide range of wines to choose from. Good value for the money spent.
Would return when it suits us.

The seafood here is good, cooked in the traditional ways of the area, and the restaurant is a fine example of traditional Lisbon decor. Service a bit hit and miss, and rather dour, but not to the point of detracting from the food.

If you want to eat a great burger you have to go to this restaurant. The dish comes with a giant burger and fries. Accompanied with a nice sangria is divine and the price is super affordable. The only problem is always full, so recommend you go early or try connecting to mark the hour.
