We were looking for a nice restaurant with a view in the Central part of Puerto Rico. Barranquitas is about an hour and a half from San Juan and is a very pleasant car ride. We were very hungry and wanted to eat the smoked meats offered by this restaurant. It did not disappoint us. We ordered a mixed grill plate, advertised as lite for two people, and got plenty of food. Breaded fish with smoked meat and chicken, all fried, and tostones (plantain fritters). Delicious. The scenery was great and the service excellent. The drinks were excellent. Ask for the mojitos with local Don Q rum. Will go again to try other dishes on the menu.

The prices are really good, for the amount of food you're getting. I ordered the mofongo stuffed with octopus and it was really good. I also tried the pizza, calzone, can can pork chops, and they were all pretty good. My family was happy and we had a good time. Tip: go early, and mostly if you're going with a large group, the wait will be less.

Excellent view, and a beautiful cultural decoration. We were just driving around inland and stopping along the way and we saw this place which has a unique decoration and the view and service was great. If you have a chance, this is a place to visit and have a couple of drinks. Love it!!!

This small bistro has an excellent service with an impresive selection of dishes. Is also an excellent place to have island's tipical food in a beautiful town full of history. the scenery is perfect to have a relax after noon and fine food. Please come you will be very welcome personally by its owner.

Visited the restaurant yesterday and had the best chicken stew I've had in years. Received excellent service and had my drink with fresh orange juice, fantastic. Will visit again soon. The bar is well stocked and they have an ample wine list. Their artisan pizzas looked great, will try them next.

My girlfriend and I were really pleased with the place. The food was delicious and one dish can even be for two persons! Also the view to Barranquitas was extremely beautiful. We are definetly coming back to the restaurant!

Owned and run by two very friendly families. Excellent service and the food is just amazingly good. Appetizer combos alone can feed more than 2 or 3 people. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are served. Very comfortable open air Terrace environment. A couple of games for kids to play, pool table in the back and pony rides for the little one's. Definitely a must for anyone that enjoys good food in a beautiful countryside setting.

This locale used to be the Vaca Brava. Under new administration, they opened El Granero. Excellent service. when you enter throught their main doors. Service, quality and ambiance are perfectly arrainged. They have pony rides for the younger kids. Nico the manager / owner was there with us, making sure we were well attended. The service personnel was very friendly and made us feel like family, highly recommended, must go to place on Barranquitas.

We came here for a few drinks while staying in Hacienda Margarita Hotel and order some appetizers of "Longaniza"(locally made sausage) and smoked beef, both of them were good. Food and drinks in this part of the island are extremely cheap and the food is great. They have a big tv screen that play live sports. The bar looks very nice.
