Tiny place, with an eclectic collection of furniture, but what this place lacks in size it more than makes up for in atmosphere. The Lemon soup is one of the best meals i´ve had in SEA, if you are lucky you can even join Chico´s wife in the kitchen to learn how to make it your self.
(though the fish version is very tasty, those who don´t like bones should pot for chicken, pork or beef)
Chico´s is aslo a great place to chill have a beer and play cards with the owner.
Trips and moto rental can also be organised at Chico´s Bistro

This restaurant was really nice. We came back twice because the hotel was close and that it was very good. We ate on a Terrace, with a lake view. The food was very good and not expensive. There was a billard in the restaurant so we played few time. If you go to Banlung eat at Pteas Bay Khmer

We ate here before and after our gibbon trek and we were really surprised by the quality of the food. We ate local dishes and they were lovely. I would particularly recommend the fish amok.

We found this place while searching vegetarian food. The really friendly owner told us that they changed the menue just 3 weeks ago to only veg! Even the burger and the Laklok is avaivable with Tofu or "vegetarian meat" (a combonation of Tofu and Mushrooms). We tried the Laklok and the Amok with Tofu and the "meat". And both is tasty, didn't take long time and was served with rice by a friendly personal. Really a place to go twice or more!

Here the food is prepared with care and nicely presented (chives as decoration on the fried rice dish, for me a Cambodia first, nice). The steak was of good quality, French Fries were soggy. Overall a much recommended choice to eat in Banlung, nice views into the valley. I just don't know why there is a somewhat depressing vibe at this otherwise lovely place.

The sisters are very nice and the food is very good. This would be worth 5 stars. However they also sell tours and that was a RIP OFF!! We wanted to book from Balnung to Hoi An (Vietnam). The husband of one of the sisters told us that this is possible for 15 USD. We were a bit suspicious, however they seemed to be very nice and trustworthy. In Pleiku (just after the border) the driver dropped us and we had to buy another ticket. We paid 15 USD eventhough the ticket to Pleiku costs 11 USD (e.g. at Parrot tours nearby). Conclusion: Go eat there but don't book any tour!!!

From the moment you enter The Green Carrot Restaurant you will feel welcomed; the staff are immediately on hand with a friendly smile. The restaurant is clean and well ordered and it is within easy walking distance of the town. Meals are well prepared and presented well. Throughout my visit staff were attentive and ready to take further orders and were quick to help. The food I ordered was beautifully presented and tasted lovely. I can really recommend this restaurant.

Very nice bar with friendly staff and live music every evening. Great choice of beers, including several international brands for those who don't like the local beers. The owner, who plays guitar himself, came straight to us after his music performance to chat with us, which was very nice, too. If you want you can also go on the stage yourself and play a song on the guitar. My friend did it and it was very appreciated! Highly recommended place to spend some time there!

Nice view on the lake and efficient staff. The owner, Franck, is very friendly. We appreciated his crispy pizzas among the best we have eaten in Cambodia. Tasty local and continental food (Thai Massamum or fish & chips). Prices held very tight and delightful atmosphere....MoreMerci beaucoup... bien aimable ;)
