This is a Greek-taverna-style restaurant close to the centre of Heilbronn. Seeking an early meal I turned up just after opening (5.30pm) and was well looked after. I had just a main course of skewered, grilled fish pieces, and very nice they were too. This establishment seems to pride itself on having a good daily selection of fresh fish so thatâs what Iâd suggest if you like your fish. One thing to watch out for: itâs not cheap. A main course for around 18 euros is to me above average for this kind of dish but as I say, it was good. A very decent salad was served beforehand and I chose jacket potatoes as an accompaniment. They do a decent Syrah here (I know: white wine with fish, but it was quite a âstrongâ meal) and the staff were friendly and attentive.As it was winter when I visited, and they had just opened up, the temperature was a bit on the low side; I guess it warms up as the night goes on.

This is a very little restaurant with only a few places.We love the Falafel - in our opinion the best in Heilbronn!The homemade dips they serve are very good.And the salad has a real nice dressing.So nothing to complain about - just enjoy!

Grilled Salmon and grilled Zander with generous portion of mixed vegetable were fresh and delicious. Salmon soup as well - not too creamy. Service initially professional, but not specifically welcoming; when told we were celebrating (elderly) mum's birthday, the Italian waiter from Sardinia was lovely and caring.Atmosphere is very "gemuetlich" in old building; silver service. We'll be back.

Had diner with my colleague. Place hasn't too much ambiance. For starter an antipasta plate, which was just some cut meat frim supermarket. No much variation. The entrecote we've ordere was well grilled, medium rare and tastefull. The vegetables and potatoes in the plate not really special. Service was ok. The wine Ripassa 2011 was superb. So for just a bite because you are travelling for bizz ok, but not really a place to experience an Italian evening with your beloved one for example

Already in the last years Pfeffer could convince with their concept of temporarily occupying a former men shop at the Marktplatz. The shop was waiting to be reconstructed, Pfeffer was waiting to move into their current location, a fantastic building, made of local sand stone at the end of Kirchbrunnenstrasse, by the river Neckar. Like at the Marktplatz, Pfeffer serves a reasonably priced set lunch, you choose if you want all three courses or skip starter or dessert. Pfeffer has a small but special selection of open wines, as well as non-alcoholic specialities.Apart from lunch, you might just want to stop by to get some fennel salami, delicious cheese, or maybe a tin of Parisian tea as a gift for an invitation.If you are in town for shopping, have a break and take lunch at Pfeffer's; I also use it as a meeting point with my wife, when we are in town and shopping at different places. She's never been too late, as there was always another glass of wine :-)

We had an unexpected great evening at the Eckstein Restaurant-Bar. Besides the nice food and drinks, it was the atmosphere that created a perfect evening. We came for aperitif at 6:30 and had to wait almost an hour for some of our snacks up to a point when they were finally served with the mains BUT only after several complaints. Food itself was good. Our steaks were decently cooked but unfortunately served lukewarm. (One could have heated the plates before serving.) Setting allright next to train station. Quiet little town.
