Each visit to the restaurant is now a great taste experience for us. The combination of ingredients always excites the pallet in some of the most unexpected ways. The fish dish last night was exquisite. The lamb maultaschen and asparagus combined local menus with great flavors. The service is really top class. Always impressive when the service staff great you professionally at the door, remember the table orders and deliver the correct dish to the correct person. The wine list can also be explained and recommendations for the right wine with your meal. Really a great team. Thanks again for a great evening. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist dieses an der Hauptstrasse gelegene Hotel-Restaurant etwas auÃerhalb des Zentrums von Heidenheim. Doch mit dem Peerless-Konzept versucht man dem Gasthaus erfolgreich neues Leben einzuhauchen. Peerless steht für Freundlichkeit, schmackhaftes Essen und Portionen an denen sich richtig satt gegessen werden kann. Eine Tageskarte ergänzt das übliche Angebot aus Pizza, Burgern, allerlei Salaten, Suppen und den üblichen Dingen wie SchniPo, Spätzle usw.Schön ist die groÃe Getränkeauswahl. Etwas unflexibel reagierte man auf Sonderwünsche, die fast immer extra kosten. Der Vermerk âÃnderung 1⬠extraâ findet sich in der Speisekarte. Auch ein Steak medium-rare zu bekommen war schlicht unmöglich. Nun gut. Bei den Preisen sollte man nicht meckern. Denn hier kann man sich billig sattschlemmem. Nicht alles scheint hausgemacht (verschiedene Salate...), aber das Essen ist schön angerichtet und frisch. Der Service gibt sich wirklich Mühe. Sogar eine Kinderspielecke ist vorhanden. Erwartet keinen Gourmettempel, aber solide Küche bei der man weià was man bekommt.Leider ist das WLAN den Hotelgästen vorbehalten.

Ich habe in meinem Leben schon viele Italiener (nicht nur) in Deutschland besucht und gute und bessere und manchmal auch eher weniger gute kennen gelernt.Diese gehört definitiv zu den besseren. Eine gut strukturierte und lesbare Karte, ein beachtliches Angebot an italienischen Gerichten für Leute mit kleinem oder groÃem Hunger. Der Service war angenehm und lieà sich auch mal auf ein kleines Schwätzchen ein (wenn es sich einrichten läÃt).Ich hatte eine Spargelsuppe sowie eine Pizza mit Spargel. Ich kann die Qualität der Speisen wirklich nur loben - es war SEHR lecker. Der Spargel war angenehm bissfest, ohne hart oder zuweich zu sein. Ob man eine Spargelpizza mit Sauce Hollandaise machen soll oder nicht - Geschmacksache. Meinen Nerv hat es getroffen. Und den Beweis geliefert, dass man auch gute Pizza aus dem Steinofen (nicht Holzofen - aber wo steht das ?) heraus bekommt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis empfand ich insgesamt als angemessen und fai.FÃr mich ist das Haus eine klare Empfehlung. Ich werde sicherlich öfters dort vorbei schauen ...

Arriving late into Heidenheim, the La Strada was almost the only restaurant in the pedestrian zone open at 2.30pm for lunch. We sat outside on the cobblestone street. The waiter was friendly, helpful and happy to recommend. He urged us to order quickly before the kitchen closed.The food arrived, promptly and I must admit the lasagne was great. Big serving - big enough for 2 people.... The pasta my friend ordered was really good, too !Cold beers, reasonable prices, personable staff and satisfying food. Great combination.! The only downside was the minor construction repair sites along the pedestrian street.Recommended if you want good Italian food in Heidenheim. Give it a try.
