The cafe is a 20-minute walk (flat, easy for wheelchairs) from the center of Bad Hofgastein, along the Ache river. Cakes, coffee, and soft drinks are excellent. They also offer snacks, which I haven't tried, however. The cafe has outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.

We stopped there at the end of a popular trail. The food was Ok but the service was simply bad. For example- when a bee fell into my beer- the waitress said "not my problem". Sums it up..Dear Costumer,This year there are a great amount on bees in our region. It is very diffcult to protect every guest's drinks off the bees, but we give our best that you have an enjoyable stay at our restaurant. I am really sorry if the waitress had a bad behavior against you. Normally we counter our guests the most friendly way. If you would like to read some other coments, you will see that the day of your visit was an unhappy exeption.Greats,Restaurant Klammfürst

Wir waren zwar nicht im Brandnerhof, aber dafür auf der von den gleichen Wirtsleuten betriebenen Alm. Die etwas 700 Meter höher gelegene Alm ist in circa einer Stunde von der Bergstation zu erreichen. Hier wird alles selber hergestellt (Brot, Käse, Wurst, Speck) und es schmeckt wirklich sehr gut. Super erfrischend ist auch die Buttermilch mit Blaubeeren. Es gibt auch ein paar sehr süÃe Schweine, die um die Hütte herum laufen. Die Wirtsleute sind wirklich sehr nett und geben gerne noch weitere Tipps.

Wir sind schon zweitemal gewesen. Vor dem Kaffeehaus gibts ein grosse gemütliche Terrasse. Nach zwei Hot Dog haben wir ein Bubble Wrap mit Eis bestellt...Ich kann nichts mehr sagen... einfach genial! Jede muss ausprobieren! Super nette, freundliche Service, wir gehen immer gerne wieder

The most unfriendly waitress in the whole of the Gasteinertal! She seems to be unaware that Bad Hofgastein is pretty much wholly dependent on tourists and their business. Quite sad actually, but thankfully there are other much better, service-orientated alternatives, such as the Weitmoser Schloessl.

We took the lift from Grossarl and walked about 30 minutes from where the lift left us. Wonderful setting, good music (local...), very good food. The kids have a lot to do, there is a large outdoor play area.

This is a delightful little restaurant in a delightful little village! The breakfast offering includes eggs if you're so interested. Other restaurants/bakeries in this town do not. The proprietress speaks adequate English and she is lovely to chat with as she looks after your order. A nice selection of pastries are also available here
