My wife and I walked into town from our hotel near the ski mountain to eat in the castle 2 nights in a row. We had the best veal stew and red cabbage during our whole trip to Austria here. Sitting at the your table it is easy to imagine you are eating in a medieval great hall. If you can don't miss eating here I imagine it would also be very fun for kids to eat here.

Im Industriepark von Tamsweg würde man ein solches Restaurant nicht vermuten; die Aussicht auf St. Leonhard und das Murtal läÃt einen die etwas versteckte Lage schnell vergessen. Elegantes Ambiente, vorzüglicher, geschulter Service und eine ausnahmslos überzeugende Küchenleistung haben sicher mehr Aufmerksamkeit und Zuspruch verdient. Extravagant: die Creme brulée vom Ziegenkäse als Vorspeise! Wir kommen wieder...

After wandering around Tamsweg late lunchtime, we were inspired to eat at the Gasthof Gambswirt. Very happy with our decision. Enjoyed a lovely lunch in very attractive surroundings. Staff were friendly and attentive. Meal selected from the luncheon menu; both of us chose soup of the day followed by the bolognese which was tasty and substantial. Thoroughly recommend the restaurant.

Wir bekamen den Tipp mit dem Andlwirt von unserem Bauernhof. Wir mussten erst mal weiter weg parken da Hotel und Gasthof so gut besucht waren. Wir bekamen dennoch einen Platz für uns vier. Die Einrichtung und Atmosphäre hat uns gut gefallen. Helle, aber traditionell gehaltene Möbel, alles nicht so eng zrotz gut besuchten Lokals.Das Essen war gut, besonders lobenswert der Salat aus dem Buffet. Beim Fleisch haben wir schon einen hohen Anspruch, der uns allerdings nicht 100%ig überzeugte. Das essen war soweit ok, hätte aber auch noch etwas Luft nach oben gehabt.

Wir haben während unser Langlaufrunde in Lignitz die Jausenstation angelaufen. Netter und schneller Service, sehr gutes und frisches lokales Essen und überschaubare Preise runden den Aufenthalt ab.Ein Besuch lohnt sich.

Wir waren im Café Prosecco essen.Die Preise an sich sind akzeptabel, das Essen allerdings in unseren Augen nicht.Wir hatten das Gefühl, es handelte sich dabei um Fertigprodukte (z.B. Pizza),die mit eigenen Zutaten verfeinert werden.

Dies Hütte ist einfach umwerfend, am Ende einer ordentlichen Bergwanderung in strahlendem Sonnenschein von kernig-herzlicher, aufmerksamer Bedienung mit lokalen Schmankerln versorgt zu werden, das macht einfach Laune und am liebsten würde man dort bleiben, wenn man nicht unweit ein eigenes Dach über dem Kopf hätte...

Eight family and friends ate here after a hard day on the slopes. Some aye from the menu of the day and some chose what they wanted. The service was excellent and the food the same. Not privy but well made, presented and plenty to eat.Thoroughly recommended.
