The pousada is located in the Santo Inacio district of Atins, a small village located in the north-east of Brazil, more precisely in the state of Maranhao. The main tourist interest of the region are the famous desert lagoons "os Lencois"; unique magical place in the world. In recent years Atins beach has become a famous kitesurf spot. Our pousada is 400 m from the entrance to the nature reserve and 900 m from the beach. It offers all the conveniences to relax after long days of trek or kite. The pousada tries as much as possible to preserve the surrounding nature. It offers trips the transports to the beach and to the center of Atins. A restaurant run by a local chef offers delicious menus.

Reviewed By Jade JEnded ut there after a booking issue and what a place ! Such a friendly staff, peaceful and huge garden (even a zipline). It may be a bit further from the main beach but daily pick up/drop off make it very convenient.

Localizada na entrada do Parque Nacional dos Lencóis Maranhenses composta de confortáveis Chales com ar Condicinado, ventilador, chuveiro elétrico, secador de cabelos, TV e Wi-Fi. Varanda com rede e jardim. Área de lazer com piscina, bar e restaurante. Perfeita para momentos de férias. Próxima à praia onde acontece a prática de kitesurf. Natureza exuberante.
Has potential, but has to improve
Reviewed By Vacation28783391336Charme has great potential. When you enter the first impression is amazing. The garden and colors are incredibly lively. You get a water bowl with cute flowers to wash your feet and fresh fruits to eat. On arrival they gave us a chalet that smelled like sewage, they already said it would and it did smell so bad that we went ask if there was not another chalet or room available. Turned out it was available, they just gave away the smelly chalet first, which doesn't sound like hospitality to me. With breakfast they already prepare a table for you with breads and a plate of fruit. It took us a while to figure out that they also serve juice, granola, honey, egg, tapioca and couscous for breakfast. Maybe even more, each day was a bit of a surprise. It was not so clearly told. The food tasted good. The cakes with the coffee were my favorite. The rooms are perfect. New. AC to cool you down and even a fan. Neat toilet, tv like you are at home and a great bed. The property has a shop, offers drinks (although I had the worst caipirinha in my life there), has a mini gym with weights to exercise (which I loved to do!) and you can always get a quad ride to anywhere you want. We didn't sleep so good, because people were drinking, having a party in the pool and screaming until after midnight. The chalets are build to ventilate and you hear everything. Not sure the staff did anything about it. In the morning the place is surrounded by animals that make a lot of noise (and smell). Concluding: we had a good time here, but we hoped it would be a little bit nicer because the place has all the potential to be. We went away to a more quiet and spacious pousada. Curious: nobody from the staff looks happy working, we also went to the beach club and there people working looks a bit happier.

The facility that once was a local fisherman's house, we built Jurara Inn. The refit had a minimal interference to preserve the originality of the construction, where we built 7 simple ensuites coherent with the local simplicity and pleasantly decorated and comfortable. The Encantes do Nordeste group has the great pleasure to introduce a new venture opened on the last day 09/10/2016 at the beach of Atins , City of Barreirinhas. The Village will swear is our youngest daughter and is in addition to the already established Pousada sworn in the same location which will be a superior attachment. There are six spacious apartments of 20m², comfortable and delicately decorated to meet our demanding audience of some pampering and comforts . Vila Jurará They are equipped with heated showers, air conditioning split , boxs beds, hammocks and a delicious one-story balcony. We also offer our customers a large living room facing the contemplation of the street, a reception and a mini bar.

Worry free vacation in paradise
Reviewed By yulinerinwangMaresia is beautiful, clean and well equipped. Minutes walk to the beach, and space to rinse and dry your equipment. Stayed 3 weeks in the spacious and air conditioned ocean side suite on 2nd floor. Can see the kites from the balcony. The owner, Marco, is warm and attentive. He went out of his way to make us feel at home. Arranged all the transport from and to the airport despite the late arrival time, organized downwinds to the lagoon, and provided information of the local conditions. This is any kiteboarder's paradise and I will be back with friends next time!

Terrible place
Reviewed By CathRestoAt first sight looks pretty. But everything is old, very slow service without any word of French and English. Bad breakfast. But the worst is the room: very small bed and hard like a stone, no hot water. I also hear other people without any airco and others with dirty bed sheets. And very far away from the beach and the center.

Reviewed By aroeder2019The Convento Arcadia is a very well maintained guesthouse in Atins. Nice and clean rooms and a nice area. Very helpful staff. The owner helped me book a tour in the National Park and the return transfer to Barreirinhas. I was also able to use the laundry service. Just a few steps to the beach. There are also several restaurants nearby.

Great Place and Amazing Food
Reviewed By maricarvaThe place is great. Near the beach, great accommodation (but with no hot water), close to all attractions, specially if you want to try kitesurf. Saulo, the owner, is always around and is super helpful with whatever you need. But the best is Nonato, the cook... his food is amazing, the best I had in the region.

Reviewed By Isabel RAtendimento excelente, o quarto é bem espaçoso, banheiro grande também! Quando chegamos até ja tinham deixado o ar condicionado ligado! O café da manhã foi ótimo e ainda serviam café da tarde das 16:30 as 18:30, com um bolo delicioso! O que mais gostei foi que eles possuem transporte disponível todos os dias para os hospedes ate as 22h para levar e buscar para os restaurantes da cidade, isso foi MUITO bom!!! Só não coloquei 5 estrelas pq infelizmente a acústica dos quartos não é das melhores… dá para ouvir os vizinhos caso estejam falando alto… mas de resto, foi tudo perfeito! Voltaria com certeza
