Hi everybody,If u come to Aswan try to have a meal in a nice local restaurant.Near railway station is small Abdeli tahrir , street with this name. In the middle of this street is entrance in Abeer restoran. There you can be served by local meat specialty.

We had dinner here twice and itâs best to stick to the least processed dishes like shish kebab, which they make using beef or chicken. They donât serve much lamb, and the oven roasted lamb shank we tried was a bit dry and not as good as the shish kebab. They also make lots of kofta, using minced beef and itâs not bad, though not as good as the ones made with lamb. The tahini dip and salads are complimentary and were ok; the bread is fresh. They are also reasonably priced, about 300-350 Egyptian pounds for two people; and the service is great once they get to know you. Tip about 10 % to make them happy and look after you on your next visit. The location is in the gritty part of town, but most of Aswan is gritty so just take in the experience and enjoy the food.

Solaih is on a Nubian Island in an unbelievable setting overlooking Phialea Temple. Food is perfect and best food in whole of Aswan and South Egypt.The only problem is you will definitely put on weight.Breakfast items are great. Lunch and dinner is very nice and great value for money.Beach is great for swimming and for day use.ECO Nubia where the restaurant is located has very nice rooms and is reasonably priced.I decided this is my place in the winter for relaxing and spending nice time.

We just finished a meal at the Nubian restaurant, which had been recommended by our guide. Its island location is easy of access through a local motor boat. We had a spread of different dips and each tasted the Nubian version of tajine (clay pot dish). The flavours were subtle and not too spicy. The two kinds of bread were scrumptious. Mango is in season, so I indulged in freshly squeezed mango juice for dessert. The place pays attention to cleanliness, and the staff is more than friendly. You cannot go wrong with this reasonably priced dinner ($40US for 3). The view of the river is also peaceful.

My family really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. I found the atmosphere and ambience to be delightful, the service was excellent and the food was excellent. Staying at The Old Cataract, having dinner here seemed like a no brainer. The restaurant is small so booking a table is recommended.

We dined at Salah ad Din restaurant in Aswan on both the 30th and 31st December 2018. On the 30th we arrived late afternoon and were shown four areas, an enclosed upstairs dining room, an open sided downstairs room and outside terrace both overlooking the Nile or on the floating 'boat' on the Nile.We chose the floating area and ordered a couple of beers. We ate a mixed Kofta and Kebab and a Kebab, both were served with bread and were very good and reasonably priced. We returned later that evening after a stroll along the Corniche for a another beer or two and a glass of wine, this time sitting in the open sided downstairs room, the drinks were reasonably priced.On New Years Eve we returned, again dining on the floating platform, but this time much later and it was busier. On this occasion we had beer and wine with a Nubian Beef Tagine and a Kofta, both very good. We then again moved up to the open sided area for a few more drinks.

The approach to the restaurant was very putting off. We climbed a flight of stairs and there was litter all around. Some had been collected and left lying in a pile there. The food thereafter was less than mediocre. The service staff were good and they tried hard to please.

There is a Nubian dreams restaurant right by the Nile with good views for food. Went in low season so was only person there. Good food at reasonable prices

The restaurant is on a small island just off the southern tip of Elephantine Island. The restaurant has a private boat so if you call ahead you can arrange for a complimentary pickup. It is designed to accommodate large tour groups but we came on a Thursday night at 7pm and it was virtually empty. Our server was attentive to our needs and helped with menu suggestions. There is quite an extensive selection of Egyptian items, but no alcohol is served here. I found the food to be just OK. The chicken and meat was a little dry and the fish had a heavy fishy taste. With drinks and desert the bill came to about 250 EGP per person for a party of 4. A tax of 12% as well as 10% service is added to the bill. Overall the experience was OK but it my opinion there are probably better choices in town.

Al Masry was recommended by my hotel. The restaurant is located on a side street and has a simple entrance. The interior is basic and the service is below par for Egypt. The menu was in English and the prices are for foreigners. The selection of dishes were your basic Egyptian dishes. Stuffed pigeon and so on. I found the flavors of the dishes and presentation on the average side. Production and no love. I left disappointed.
