Outstanding fresh fish! Sushi, Nigiri, Sashimi, poke bowls, sushi rolls - all fantastic with lots of choices. Menu offers other options - still our Go-To for a southern-cooked comfort meal (amazingly low price!) as well. We love the clean, bright look of the new location. Addnl parking behind. Good for groups (private dining room). Seating at the full bar. Sushi Bar seating.

As busy as this place is, no one is lazy in there. Of course, I’ve never met Pete. Excellent Cajun/creole specialties with great poboys, fish, etc. Get your fish grilled, fried, blackened—all uniformly excellent. Great bread for poboys, which is key. Order at the counter, grab a beer on ice, and they yell out your number and you pick it up. In a strip mall. Pretty good stuff for a landlocked state.

Grilled or boiled- so good. Good cucumber salad & decent hush puppies. First time in forever that they seated us- probably because it was a Friday night & super busy. Wine available is so-so. But the service & food is always good. Baskets or platters- choose platters & choose your sides. Catfish is good as well.

Ordered the 24-piece Sashimi special, wondering if it would fill me up and be as fresh as hoped. Neither concern materialized. The Sashimi pieces were large, and with an "extra" piece of seared tuna provided by the chef, I was more than satisfied. Fresh - wow, like it was just out of the ocean! Six different types of fish, including the evening's specials, and whatever else the chef picked. Beautifully presented, the whole experience was delightful. Meal also included a refreshing, wonderfully-dressed cucumber salad, soup (I wasn't thrilled with the house soup - was hoping for more flavorful broth) or mixed salad and a little ice cream for dessert. All that for $29! On either coast it would have been double that. Husband had the grilled filet, vegetables and a side of fried rice, which he couldn't finish (unusual for him) - he was very happy with his meal. I was blown away by the quality of the meat and freshness of the veggies. Made me want to order the grilled salmon next time!Service was attentive, quick and very friendly. Next time I'll ask them to bring the meals out together, as my meal came out when he was already more than half done. Fantastic food, nice decor and amazingly nice people. Will definitely be back!

My first time, and the menu presentation alone was worth the visit. James clearly enjoys his profession, and it added that much more flavor to the evening. We chose the Dinner For 2, because, gift card :-/However, after the Bang-Bang Shrimp, Caesar salads and endless delish bread, the tapas-style servings of sides and entreés was flavorful and filling.Definitely recommended.

Kemuri has new owners, but our lunch was as good as ever. In fact, service (Arthur) and timeliness of food arriving was better than ever. We shared the Hibachi Rice with added shrimp (I think it’s better with chicken since you get more protein and flavor) and the Express Lunch (cucumber and crab salad, California roll and Spicy tuna roll). We love the Cappuccino jar for dessert, but we were too full to order it today. Phyllis, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent visit. You are confirming our goal under new ownership - to maintain the high standards and quality. Well Wishes to your husband. Look forward to seeing you again soon. Dave GM.
