I really enjoyed my chicken sandwich. It was juicy and a good size for the price. I popped in and grabbed it to go and was glad that was the plan. If you're looking for a sit down meal this may not be the place for you. There are plenty of tables both inside and outside. However, inside it's also a convenience store. There was a case with pre-made sandwiches but I ordered a hot sandwich. They also had tasty sounding salads and Mexican food on their menu.

Bobby D's BBQ at the English Kitchen

The English Kitchen is the oldest restaurant in Arizona, dating to 1899. But it never has served English food. Charley Hong built the adobe structure on a stone foundation at 199 East Jerome Avenue after his previous restaurant burned down a few months earlier. Although it was named the English Kitchen, it offered a menu of chop suey and was known as the best Chinese restaurant in Jerome. It closed in 2007, ending its run as the longest continuously operated restaurant in Arizona. In 2011, Bobby D and his sister Kathryn bought the old building and installed their Ole Hickory Pit Smoker to produce pecan-smoked barbecue. Today, Bobby D's BBQ and Grill reminds visitors of the old mining camp days with its row of wooden booths, large beveled mirrors, original bar stools and birds-eye maple floor. But the sauces, rubs, ribs, sausage, chicken, brisket and pork shoulders are the biggest attractions at Bobby D's. Open from 11 to 6 Monday through Thursday and from 11 to 8 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it's a good reason to make the 45-minute drive from Sedona, even two hours from Phoenix. Sit at a picnic table on the deck and enjoy the food and the view of the sprawling Verde Valley that once attracted thousands of miners to Jerome. My wife and I had a pound of smoked wings with BBQ sauce, beer battered onion rings, 10 bones of thick-cut, slow smoked pork ribs with cornbread and BBQ beans, a smoked bone-in half chicken and two slices of banana cream pie. Did the miners eat so well?

We are visiting Cottonwood for a High School graduation and read good things about "Hog Wild" so decided to give them a try, on a Wednesday night. The restaurant is on a corner, and they have plenty of parking in the back. They have a nice size menu with many things to choose from, however on Wednesday nights, you can get a full rack of ribs, and two sides for $20.99. We decided on the Pulled Pork Sandwich, and the Full Rack of ribs, and both were absolutely delicious !! For the two sides, picked Potato Salad and baked Beans, they both were good, however they are "Simple and Plain" so no extra spices or anything, which gives you the opportunity to spice them up yourself. We arrived about 6:30, and the Restaurant was full, with no open tables, unfortunately was a bit cold to sit outside, so we had to order the food to go, and take in back to the Hotel, but were not disappointed in the food at all, extremely delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful and chatted with us while we waited. Old style, plain decor, which works well for a place that focus's on BBQ. They are on the East end of Old Town Cottonwood, and are worth the effort and drive, if you want to some good tasting BBQ.

Stopped here for coffee on the way from Sedona to Tuzigoot in the morning and we were so charmed, we stayed for possibly the best breakfast we've had recently. Pancakes were light, fluffy, slightly chewy (in a good way) and huge. The goat cheese and avocado scramble was so flavorful, and came with amazing breakfast potatoes and toast. Tea and coffee likewise plentiful. Vibe is very European with chansons playing as ambient music. Stop here... You won't be sorry!!

My husband and I went to this restaurant in Old Town Cottonwood for dinner. The food was good but you order at a desk then have to pick your food up when they call your number. You also have to get your own silverware, and condiments . There are no trays so you have to make several trips to get it all. For such a nice looking restaurant it felt more like a fast food place without the fast food price. Everything was a separate price. Expensive for having to do all the work yourself. No reason to tip for really no service. Yep! We are a "walk-up" grill and our prices reflect our casual establishment. By restaurant standards, our prices are low for the amount and quality of food you get as 99% of the menu is made from scratch. Best try our terrific neighboring restaurants for a casual fine dining experience where you can be waited on with a server.

My husband and I went to this restaurant in Old town cottonwood to celebrate my birthday. We had an excellent waitress by the name of Sarah. She had a beautiful smile and was very pleasant. Our food was delicious and even when I put my leftovers in a container you could see the steam coming off the bowl. The calamari was crispy but could use a bit of seasoning in the breading. It was not rubbery. The restaurant employees worked like a well oiled machine which was very impressive to me. There was always someone rounding with water, clearing dishes or checking on you. I would definitely recommend this establishment. The decor was beautiful and elegant. Thanks for a great meal.Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It was our pleasure, and we hope you return to Nic's Italian Steak & Crab House soon!
