Hail's Holy Smoked BBQ & More

Reviewed By lidar - Keller, TX

It looks small from the outside, but there is plenty of seating inside. We tried the Frito Pie with brisket and the Rib plate. The food is good and flavor spot on. The ribs, while not fall off the bone tender, were still meaty and had a nice taste. While I might not go back for the ribs, we enjoyed it enough to consider going back and definitely would make it a spot we visit when we come back to Angel Fire.

Pros:
Nice and friendly staff
Fast service
Meat has awesome smokey flavor
Moderately priced
Condiment bar with fixin's so you can dress your meal how you like (pickles, onions, relish, sauces, etc).
Good hours - early morning to evening so you can be satisfied for any meal - we'll try breakfast next time!

Cons:
The Ribs plate was a little pricey at $15

We ate one night during our week long stay in Angel Fire. The service was friendly and quick. The pizza was amazing, and the beer was cold. Good variety of beer as well including some local brews.

Enchanted Circle Brewing

The menu had a variety of items that are not the "usual". The fish tacos were exceptionally good, but the baby back ribs, gyro, and pork sandwich were also excellent. There is a great selection of beer as well. The Vanilla Porter and Imperial Red we enjoyed were great (if you like darker beer)! Service was good, but nothing exceptional. Staff was friendly. Prices are what I would expect for a tourist location. We will definitely return on another trip to Angel Fire.

Zebs Restaurant & Bar

Totally surprised at the reviews. We were greeted even before entering the restaurant. We were told we could sit anywhere but due to the bright sunlight our waitress suggested another table which we could still see the view outside. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us suggestions of what to eat. We found our food to be very good and the prices reasonable. The restaurant was clean including the bathrooms. Couldn't ask for better service. We will be back in a few months and will return to eat here again.

Legends Bar and Grill

Reviewed By Incommuicado

We have lived in Angel Fire since 1998. We have visited Legends on many occassions apparently it has fallen in a big way. First out was the green Chile queso with a small bowl of cold multi colored chips. No green chili was spotted or tasted in the watery small bowl of Velvetta. The no flavor hamburger was bad enough, but it was complimented with matching burnt buns and so was the flavorless Buffalo chicken burger. They even managed to screw up chicken fingers. They ranged from 1-1/2" to 3", most were 1-1/2" and were told they were large. We commented on this and were told by one of the staff "oh I think they are just about out". On top of it all we waited 45 minutes for this CRAP. Needless to say we will not return or recommend this once decent restaurant. The wait staff however was friendly and accommodating. Pass on this place!

Pizza Stop

Went this afternoon, 2 families, 2 tickets. For an overpriced pizza, you'd think that they could use a little higher quality plates and silverware. Not very good service, and didn't find out about their magical "automatic gratuity on groups of 6 or more" until we were signing the receipt. Good lessons learned, won't be coming back.

At Annie's, grab one of our homemade breakfast burritos (a local favorite), or sit down and enjoy a tasty omelet cooked to order. For lunch, Annie's offers gourmet paninis and sandwiches along with fresh salads and homemade dressings. Daily specials available. We have smoothies, frozen lemonades, Italian sodas, ice cream & much more.

Annie's is a great place for a quick coffee and pastry. They also serve breakfast and lunch. The breakfast burrito was delicious even for my picky husband. The cashiers were friendly but we did have to remind them that we hadn't received our food. Once we nudged them, we received the food immediately. I recommend it for an on the go drink and snack

This restaurant space has had several incarnations, the latest being the promising Mikuna. Located in the back of a shared building, the entrance to the restaurant reveals a nicely furnished dining room with a view of the mountain slopes. We were the first patrons at the restaurant at about 5:30, although several tables came in right behind us. As of this writing, the restaurant doesn't yet have a liquor permit- so some people just leave when they find out about that... which is a shame because the food we had was pretty good. There is enough on the menu to attract "normal" diners who just want a steak and mashed potatoes which is what my husband had. I chose a tangy chicken dish with yellow sauce and a cup of yummy soup with a Peruvian name for a starter. Service was good- the restaurant has a good vibe. Definitely more upscale than some of the other options in town. Nice, appropriate music mix too. This will be even better when wine can be offered. But, honestly- if you are tired of cooking at the condo, Mikuna is a very nice ootion.
