Excellent quality and ingredients. If you have a sweet tooth this the place to treat yourself. The local delicacy " amygdalota " ( almond paste, rose water,icing sugar) to die for ! The very best throughout Greece. A great gift for your friends. Unmissable !!!

The taverna is located just by the sea with a view of Andros town. The food is tasty and a good value but not a big variety.
The location and the nearby tavernas are run down at the time we went it was dead quiet making the whole atmosphere a bit sad.
The people running it were friendly so all is good.
Its ok for a quick taverna lunch but just that. Not for fancy dining.

the best restaurant we went to in Andros! Excellent food, reasonably efficient service and nice central location. We went twice in six days. I would have given it a five star overall grade but for the difficulties faced by the service in the tourist high season.

great place in the main square of chora, a lot of shade and breeze :) A wide selection of coffe, try the espresso freddo,even better than italian one :) and i'm Italian by the way :) Great staff.

Love shopping in Chora and then stopping for coffee at Nostalgia. They have a nice menu that includes ouzo, mezethes, sandwiches and sweets. I especially like how they serve filter coffee (French press); and their yogurt with honey. The teenagers with us enjoyed ice cream.
Nice staff. Very courteous. Good food. Hot coffee. And a shady spot to 'people watch'.

If you look for a quaint unpretentious restaurant, with good food, friendly service, and reasonable rates then I recommend Nonas, this small family run mezedopolio by the Andros town sea front. It is located in an isolated part of the town near a deserted building of an old hotel. If you abstain looking towards this ruin the sea view is excellent. This small restaurant is run by the same family for many years and offers a limited but very good variety of local specialties made with care and love. There are very few tables so a reservation is recommended.

This Batsi Dodonis, is great! The ice cream and waffles & waffle comes are amazing! My family and I just couldn't get enough. Not to mention the great service, clean place, nice chairs and tables outside overlooking the water, just an great time !

Katerina is such a special person. She helps you experience her cooking with an explanation of the ingredients and the history behind them and her choice is always seasonal and based on the availability of supplies from the Andros farms.
She bakes her own bread every morning.
It is best that you first call her so that she will know how many she will be catering for. You feel like you are in her home sharing a meal and not at a restaurant, especially if you go in the winter time and sit by the open fireplace or the stove. It is equally enjoyable to go in the summer and sit at her little yard among trees and flowers oh and cats!
She makes the best Furtalia I have had! Furtalia is a traditional Andros dish- an omelet with local sausage and chips! It needs to be pre-ordered though.
I could go on about the many dishes we have sampled but this review would end up being too long. One of the ingredients she loves using (when in season) is pumpkin. She has so many diverse ideas that every time she surprises us with her combinations!

We travel around Greece quote often but when you are there for a long time - coming to a restaurant like this, is like coming home. The food is excellent and the service is there but understated. There is no yelling for attention. If we want local specialities - the Menu provides it but if you want a simple grilled chicken, well cooked with good quality sides you can have it. They also do great Deserts!
