We drove here after our host couldn't recommend this place enough, and it is well worth the drive. You feel like you've just stumbled into the middle of nowhere, fields of olive trees, there's absolutely nothing but a church, a small garden/farm and the restaurant (covered in stickers from the Michelin guide in literally every year). It's a small very homey restaurant, Reservations are highly recommended, tables do fill up with local regulars for lunch. We opted for the tasting menu (EUR 35 each, expecting 3 dishes). Good heavens we were stuffed: 3 antipasto dishes, 3 mains, 3 dessert, for 35 EUROS each!!!! All the freshest tastiest produce, simply divine! I saw another reviewer had simply put no comments - and I think he hits the nail on the head, it would dilute to even attempt to write a review, this place doesn't need one, you just need to go it is superb!!

Enoteca con cucina del territorio
I wanted to eat here after Reading other trip advisor reviews, and I must say, I was not disappointed. First of all, Reservations are a must! the room is small, it fills up fast. This is not your typical pasta type Italian restaurant. It is an enoteca, meaning that they sell wine and also have food service. There is no a la carte menu - just a tasting menu, which is a great bargain for 19 euro. Everything I ate was wonderful, and all of the ingredients locally produced. The tasting menu, with a bottle of very good wine from the region cost me only 40 euro. This is another gem to be found in Andria.

We recently went to a wedding hosted at the Umami. The wedding itself was fantastic; filled with love and emotions and perfectly complimented by the amazing ambiance, setting and unbelievable food (quality, flavour and quantity) from the delightful appetizers through the full menu finishing with the cake. We ate all night, really enjoyed the happy occasion and delighted in the excellent service, produce and setting. A big thank you to everyone. could not recommend it highly enough!

This agriturismo with restaurant and B&B is located about 5 min by car from Castel del Monte, and very easy to find.
It is a historic structure, and the dining room is probably the former stable, now beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated.
The service may not be "strictly professional" as in a high class restaurant, but instead had the familiar touch appropriate for an agroturismo, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.
We ate a selection of antipasti which were DELICIOUS and with a very nice presentation/decoration. The main dishes were less spectacular, but both the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian among us were satisfied.
For us, the lunch was decent value for money, and we would definitely recommend it as a nice place to replenish your energies after a visit to Castel del Monte.

Delicious salads with barley and other grains. The pizzas looked really good too, fairly quick service, with friendly staff. Wide selection of beers, but try to get an outside table, on a hot summer night it's sauna time!

If I have to start to explain our experience in this place I will take you too long.
Give it a try, pizzas, tagliata di salumi and formaggi (selection of ita salami and chese) hamburgers, local bottled wines (ask for and advice) were all superb!
It's a kind of bistro, not very formal, not a super casual place, good and balanced atmosphere, filled by nice people.

Such a pleasant experience, friendly staff and plentiful great food. Enjoyed a four hour lunch, with all the courses imaginable: 10 appetizers, 2 pasta dishes, 4 meats, 4 desserts, plenty of bread and wine...probably forgetting some other courses. Unforgettable!

The name EVO lends itself to different meanings, all in equal manner that identify the style and concept of the restaurant: the first comes from "EVO", an acronym for Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and arises from the need to tie the local to the territory and to the excellence of the territory; the second comes from "EVO", understood as evolution, then the use of local products is accompanied by the desire to impress, using them in an unusual manner, with pairings, preparation and presentation of the dishes unique and unmistakable; the third comes from "Ages", a dialect very interlayer used -especially among giovani- which means "certainly", "for sure", "all right", and inextricably linked to the local traditions and folklore Andria. From here develops the concept of Evo RistoBistrot: use the typical products of the north-Bari, but with imagination and innovation typical of a new generation of chefs trained and professional, who do not mind the "external" influences, but that the used to enhance the raw materials and flavors we all know. The choice of a card "restricted" is due to the desire to offer fresh, genuine seasonal that with a wider paper may not be guaranteed; the paper is accompanied by the tasting menu, a gastronomic journey that changes daily based on availability of market- -in thought to be known by new customers and to impress every day those loyal. The wine list, as the selection of liquors and spirits, is still growing and has over 120 labels; the wine selection is very tied to the region, but attentive to the excellence that the national scene and is able to offer research-oriented small territories that in each region manage to make quality their strong point, with an eye to right relationship with the price.
Don't miss this very special dining experience. Exceptional service. Exceptional chef and creative dishes, wonderful milieu. Meal preparation uses excellent ingredients and subtle flavors. We especially enjoyed the octopus and garbanzo appetizer, the gnocchi with shrimp and the fabulous homemade breadsticks and rolls. Dessert was a beautiful and tasty white chocolate mousse. 20E for the tasting menu in the evening was a good deal or select from the excellent menu and get slightly larger portions.
