Taverna Asteria is my most favourite place to eat here in Alykes .Having holidayed in Alykes since 2004- I have tried many ,many restaurants and I can honestly say that Asteria is my favourite-have just returned from a two week holiday and I ate in Asteria every night and was never disappointed .An extensive and varied menu and excellent value for money .Perfect setting -looking towards Kefalonia.
During the day ,Vladimir looks after you on the beach in front of Asteria-his personal service is second to none.
The service in the taverna is first class-a warm welcome every evening from Spiros, Nikos ,Juliano, Jennifer and Petros .Thank you all.

We have used this restaurant for the last 4 years. We usually stay in Tsilivi, but have a run over to Alykes to eat at Paradosiako at least 4/5 times while on holiday and we can’t fault the service or the choice of food served there, which is always first class. We are always remembered by the owner and usually book table no 1. We are back in June 2018, but this time staying in Alykes so will be trying more of the lovely dishes on offer.

the good points are its lovely setting right on the beach,extensive menu and good food.
the bad points are too many dogs and cats allowed to roam around the tables looking for scraps,uncomfortable chairs,and not enough staff ,with customers sitting for 10 mins or so with other peoples dirty dishes still on there tables.not good!

Lovely breakfast, the best we had. We tried other restaurants but found them too greasy. Very reasonably priced too and lovely waitress.

The food was a low point really, however, the service was fine. The much anticipated hummus and pitta was really disappointing and had a terrible texture and taste. The mains were ok at a push - there are better places to eat and would recommend that you seek them out sadly.

Ok I don't know who is the grumpy person below that took the time to write a review saying that it "didn't to it for him", but it's soooo far away from that!!! The food here is delicious! It's a review that honestly doesn't do the place any justice. The Staff and service is excellent! Authentic and definitely worth a visit!! Would recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for local and good Greek food. Specifically we loved the chicken souvlaki and gyros with home made tsatziki!!!

lovely setting right on beach, very clean and good staff , very helpful , you could spend whole day here as have beach beds, umbrellas, beach service all for 7 euros . We can across this restaurant as was looking for fish for lunch, excellent value for money.

Lovely Taverna by the river.When it first opened we were a bit apprehensive that being so close to the water we might get bitten alive by the mosquitoes! However we have been a couple of times and it doesn't seem to be a problem.The taverna has a Very nice atmosphere - eating your dinner underneath the trees - lovely.
Some people are under the impression that this is a fish restaurant and yes it does serve fish but I had the special which was a stuffed chicken breast ( with cheese tomatoes peppers mushrooms) served with Greek roast potatoes and vegetables which was delicious and reasonably priced.
The restaurant give you a small free desert which is a nice way to finish off dinner as certainly didn't have room for a proper desert.
Highly recommended -will definitely be back

We liked the place so much we returned a second time.
The setting near the beach is great, and the decor is really special.
The staff is friendly and attentive.
The food is great and very reasonably priced. We had the seafood platter (see pic), which was really really good, grilled shrimps and a grilled fish. Everything was fresh, well cooked and tasty.
