Decided to visit Altotting while staying in Erding. So glad we did. After our visit, we were hungry and decided to have lunch. My wife had the schnitzel, I had the set menu, along with two radlers, the cost was 39 euros. I don't think that is bad for a 3 course lunch, a schnitzel and two beers. Service was reliable as, is the German fashion and polite. Note, there are no menus in English.

The Gasthof Münchner Hof is a traditional restaurant/café situated in a magnificent historic building in the centre of Altötting. Diners sit up on the Terrace, follow the goings-on down on Kapellplatz and enjoy the view of the historic buildings in the town. The Gasthof is a spacious restaurant. It serves traditional German dishes. It offers Bavarian breakfast, local lunch dishes, pies, cakes and various types of coffee in the afternoon. It also offers various contemporary and quality evening meals with a salad buffet. The wine list includes German, Austrian and international wines. The bar menu offers classic cocktails, long drinks and trendy drinks, such as Red Bull and Bionade. There are four rooms of various sizes available for parties and meetings and they have state-of-the-art equipment.

You can eat in or out under the awning with a beautiful view of the square surrounded by churches. Just breathtaking. The food choice and quality is very good and the waiter service is excellent. Our waiter was of Dutch origin called Mark and was just so very helpful.

The "Zwiebelrostbraten" (steak with fried onions) was so tender I could have cut it with a fork, and it was seasoned to perfection. In general it's harder to find a great steak in Germany since they typically don't age their beef as long as it's aged in the US, but this steak was as good as anything I've ever eaten anywhere. The salad bar wasn't bad and certainly made the meal an excellent value. There were 7 of us, and everyone enjoyed their meals very much. The owner was very charming when he came by to check if everything was alright. We'll definitely be going back, and I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

We stopped here for dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. the pizza was tasty and of good value. They had a nice variety of pizza, flammkuchen, and pasta dishes. This restaurant is worth a stop.

I really wanted to love this place - an unassuming and simple looking restaurant in the middle of nowhere with a Michelin star.. but did not live up to expectations. I could not fault the presentation of each of the courses but the biggest failure was in the construction of each plate. There was usually a lot of things happening on each plate - flavored foams, homemade ice creams, three different sauces and although the cooking techniques displayed were top notch, the flavors did not always match. It was also apparent that there was no trained sommelier as the wines did not match perfectly either and did nothing for the each of the courses. Another, in my opinion large failure was the service - although the waiter was very pleasant and polite, handing me my cutlery because he wouldn't walk around the table is a very big no-no. Not changing the wine glasses when changing to different wine is also a very big no-no. We took the complete 10 course degustation with matching wines for 128euros - I can only count two courses which I thought of high enough standard to deserve it's reputation. In short, there are many other non-starred restaurants which are far superior to huberwirt and better value for money. Not recommended.

Visiting friends we wanted to treat them to dinner. They suggested Mings and we took them. Wonderful, friendly service and big menu. Entrees were tasty and well presented. Cocktails and wines were very good. Ordered beef curry for main. Spicy, fresh and attractive. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would most definitely return here if have the opportunity.

My buddy and I sampled a Graminger dunkel weiss on the main Altotting platz and were impressed by the full flavor, great taste and finish. We knew our upcoming visit to the brew pub/bier garden held promise. It exceeded all expectations! We sampled a wide variety of Bavarian foods and my buddy and I selected the three .3L samplers. The beers ranged from Pils to bock and all were superb! Staff were attentive and helpful as we struggled with our broken German.
Taxi was 7 euros each way from Altotting Altstadt or Hbf. We arragned for pick-up during our dropoff and our ride was promptly on-time.

Good food and if you love Indian style dishes a good place to go. I normally have the chicken tandoori and the platter filled with samosas, pakora and other finger food.

Very busy Sunday, but they found me a seat outside. Good Weissbier and a nice plate of Dolmadakia. Like most Greek restaurants, lots of dishes for Vegetarians when you order off the starter menu.
