Reviewed By joe mBernard and his staff were exceptional. I was recommended by a friend but did not expect the service we received. I cannot wait to go back. Family run hotel with fantastic Michelin star food. Do not get me started about the barbecue night in the “HUT”. Great craic!

Spring Skiing
Reviewed By Atis ZGood and quiet location still need a car or a skibus to get to slopes. Friendly staff, in-room equipment and furnishings are ok but not more than that, nevertheless it is fully made up with the food - we were staying on a half board package, and both breakfast selection and dinner menus and quality were great for accomodation of this type. Overall, I would certainly recommend Scheffer's to anyone looking for the accomodation in Altenmarkt.

Super Modern With Old World Charm (How'd They Do That?)
Reviewed By RoMoDoJoArrived in evening after a very full day and were surprised there were two rooms available, and reasonably priced. They carved out a free parking spot for us and showed us to our rooms. Wow! Super nice and a sweet balcony also. The staff was attentive and the location was right in the middle of this very nice and trendy town. We opted to eat at the cafe across the street even though they have their own bar/restaurant/patio at the guesthouse. We knew we would be having breakfast there and that also did not disappoint, Very nice. I would return for another stay and heartily recommend Gasthof Rosner to you.

Fantastic Hotel
Reviewed By zarazagSooo from the initial enquiry, booking and answering my numerous questions prior to arrival - Christoph was always very helfpul. It's a great location with two ski buses very near the hotel with options to ski various resorts in the Ski Amade area - plenty of options for good skiing throughout the week - Hotel has well equipped gym and spa and the food was amazing all week - lots of variety - farmer's buffet had so much choice and the baked Alaska was proudly paraded through the dining room by Karl - all the staff were very friendly - we will be back!

The hotel Sportwelt is right next to the Rosskopf gondola lift, the skischool and the sportshops. In the summer is the Magic Mountains Center beside the hotel.

Reviewed By theweesEverything was new and modern. We booked the family room and the space was so well planned that we didn’t feel we had stuff everywhere. Having the toilet and bath separate was also good for families! Dinner buffet was good. Alcohol prices can be better especially if you are here for a week. You can’t beat the location as coming out of the ski room is the chair lift!

great place for lunch on the slopes
Reviewed By hrdlicka2017Not quite sure why this Alm is being confused here with the hotel of the same name in Zauchensee. Sportalm is in Palfen, at the top of the Altenmarkt-Radstadt Skischaukel. Perfect stop for on the slope lunch. Their Eirschwammerl sauce is to die for. The hot Apfelstrudel shot is a great and original drink, make sure you order it from the bar and not from the kitchen (you get real Strudel instead). We prefer the section with service (very nice), you can opt for self-service if you prefer. The bar section is smoked up unfortunately, would offer nice views if smoking was not tolerated. Never understood why they allow this.

Fantastic stay
Reviewed By loebakAfter our good stay last year we decided to book Garni Alpenland again. I was curious to see if it would be as good as last year. It certainly was, it even exceeded our expectations. Location, room space, staff friendliness, cleanliness and breakfast are just everything you could wish for when skiing in the great Ski Amadé region. The hotel even arranged for a surprise at breakfast for my birthday, which we really did not expect and very much appreciated. We will certainly come back!

Night over towards Croatia
Reviewed By Gert dOn our way towards the Porec Croatia we had our first stop at the Reitlehenalm and slept in the Hüttenzimmer. The stay was very good although sleeping two weeks with 4 persons in a Hüttenzimmer is perhaps a little more challenging. However for the one night we stayed it was perfect. The view from the terrace is great and the summer slopes of Flachau ski area are very recognizable. The personal is helpful and friendly and for nowadays children a good opportunity to touch some "wild" life (cows, kittens and rabbits).

Reviewed By tomo2208Hier gibt es noch vernünftiges Essen. Bei unserem Aufenthalt in Flachau mussten wir feststellen, dass die traditionelle Küche, auf die wir uns freuten sehr selten geworden ist. Nicht so beim Bliembauer! Hier gibt es die österreichische Küche, die ich aus meiner Kindheit kenne. Bei unserem Besuch entschieden wir uns beide für das Jägerschnitzel. Es wurde verschiedenen leckeren Pilzen und einem Semmelknödel serviert. Der Chef erklärte uns dann nach dem Essen, wer beim Bliembauer is(s)t, MUSS den Kaiserschmarren essen. Wir sehen das genauso - ein absolutes MUSS. Sowohl draußen als auch drinnen sitzt man sehr schön, der Service und schnell und freundlich, die Preise angemessen. Ganz klare Weiterempfehlung.
